Why do people glance
And judge from outside?
Why do people never give a chance
For what in heart some people hide?
Below the skin ,
Below the face,
Below what you see-
Below the surface.

It is what lies in heart
That people should see.
If only people would start
What then could this world be?

If people didn’t judge for skin or race
For clothes or style, for eyes and face…
How much different would this world be
If only the heart people would see?
If people looked below the words,
Below the clothes,
Below what you see-
Below the surface,

They would find that they were wrong,
He is not evil, she’s not stupid.
They would see what truly lives-
They’d see what simply lies hid.

If people would take the chance
To learn, stop and see
Then I can’t even imagine
How much better this world would be.
