*sigh*
So, some bad news...
Today I was advised I could either quit my job, or be fired by the end of the day, so I wrote up my letter of resignation and quit.... the reason you ask? Well it's because I apparently let a gas emergency call slide and not send a technician out to the house... here's the full story....
First off, you gotta understand some of the rules, when a customer called in saying that their gas appliance isn't working, we're supposed to ask if it's just one, or all of them. If it's just one of them, we don't send anybody out, we tell them to contact a qualified person of their choice to get it fixed, and if it's more than one, we send it out....
WELL, I had a customer call in saying she wasn't getting any gas to her hot water heater, when I asked her if it was all of them or just the one, she said all her other gas appliances were working fine. So I dismissed it, and told her to contact a plumber or somebody of her choice... so, she calls back later, she doesn't get me, she gets somebody else, and tells them that she smells gas now. When the tech went out there, he said that there was a huge gas leak in one of the lines in the basement, and her basement was filled with a lot of gas, and if anything would have happened, there could have been a possible explosion.
So in order to prevent a potential lawsuit from the stupid old crone, who apparently couldn't smell the gas when she spoke with me, even though I asked like 5 times. So they told me I could quit or be fired.... so, I quit.
So now, my source of income, and a damn good one at that, is lost, so now I have no job, and the gas bill and my car payment are past due, because I was waiting to get paid to pay them. To top things off, I might be moving to Lubbock, which might I add it SIX HOURS AWAY FROM MY JASON
*sigh* at least in between getting my stuff packed and possibly looking for a new job here in town before I leave, at least I'll have some time to work on gaia commissions woo-hoo
So once I figure this all out I'll fix my friggen paypal so that I can work on irl commissions (if I'm good enough) to help a little with the bills....
And what sucks even more, is that THIS IS ONE FRIGGEN MONTH BEFORE CHRISTMAS!
So now, I can't afford to by my family and friends anything... thanks corporate world, thanks....
