11th man theory? Really?

"say there is a woman in a room with 10 men, and all 10 men are telling her how beautiful she is, and how amazing she is and they are lighting her cigarette and buying her drinks and just treating her like gold. Then all of a sudden in walks the 11th man, he takes one look at her and says "hey how ya doin'", turns his back on her and starts talking to his boys, THAT'S the guy she wants to be with, the 11th man, not any of the 10 men who were treating her well all night, but the one guy that couldn't care less, why? Because for some reason women don't want nice, they don't want real, they don't want to be treated well, I mean not at first and sometimes not ever, and I think that's crazy and I refuse to play that game .... get a girl by pretending that I don't like her, I wanna be with a woman who's real, who digs it when I'm nice to her, who doesn't see that as weakness or take me for granted when I tell her that I think she is more amazing than anything else in the entire world, but unfortunately most women aren't like that, they say they are, deep down inside they want to be, but ... they're not"

Ok, so here's the deal. I was feeling pretty silly because I didn't agree with someone about this 11th Man Theory. I was beginning to think I'd lost my ability to read. So, I'm going to go ahead and explain it to myself just to make sure I'm not a complete blithering idiot that can't read.

People seem to focus on the first part of the quote, the part in red. They see that this guy has done something different than the other 10 and that this is the guy that the woman wants. They assume that this means that the 11th man is somehow standing out from the crowd because he is confident and desirable and just that damn sexy. This is where the 11th Man Theory comes from....

People seem to be ignoring the second part of the quote, though, which explains WHY the woman chooses the 11th man. This is some pretty vital information, actually, and it flabbergasts me that it is so thoroughly ignored, especially by women. The bold blue part of the quote....women don't want nice, they don't want real, and they don't want to be treated well. That's why they choose the 11th man. He's that guy. He's the one that is going to ignore them, be unkind, be false and treat them poorly. And women consistently choose this 11th man. Why? He goes on to explain that they don't want to be treated well, not at first and sometimes not at all.

So, who's got it wrong here? Me, for reading and understanding the quote, or the rest of the people out there that take one small part of the quote and form some half-baked theory that the 11th man is something desirable? He isn't. He's a self-involved jackass. He's the guy that no woman should ever want. He's the one that will lie and cheat and break hearts. He doesn't care and he's not going to go out of his way to do anything for anyone but himself.

Maybe you don't want one of the 10, but, for ******** sake, don't go after the 11th. o.O He ain't nothing but heartache.

No thank you. I'd rather not....ya'll can keep your super special 11th men.

******** all you 11th men. I hope you die alone. You ain't worth a pile of dogshit.
