Description - Sandry is short, only five feet tall. Of course that's not counting her ears; yes, ears. Sandry is a Tabaxi, a race of cat-people. Sandry herself is a leopard, and it shows. Her hair is short and straight, and a very bright copper. She is covered in short fur that resembles a leopard's coat. Namely, her coat is an orangeish yellow with dark spots on her outer arms, back, tail, and outer legs. Her face fur is a few shades lighter and lacks the spots, and only covers her cheeks and forehead; the rest is skin. Her coat lightens into a cream (again, no spots) on her torso, inner arms and legs, and her throat. The backs of her ears are black with a large white spot. The tip of her tail is the same: black with a white spot at the very end. Sandry's eyes are yellowish green, and are only slightly slitted in normal light. She does have very sharp teeth, but her claws are retractable and usually resemble nails. Sandry is small and thin, and fairly muscular.
Personality - Sandry is a care free soul, with a taste for banter and easy jokes. Even when her life is at its darkest, she's willing to lighten the air with not-so-witty one-liners and observations; teasing and joking are defense mechanisms of hers. Sandry can be very serious when the situation calls for it. Witty she may be, but she has a natural sense of when such things are appropriate, to a point.
Though she has grown up with pranking, teasing siblings, Sandry does not take being made fun of very well. If anything, they've made her more sensitive to pranks, and only people Sandry really likes can get away with playing a joke on her unscathed. Those same people may find Sandry to be a very loyal companion, and very protective of them. She has a strong mothering instinct, and loves to help her friends any way she can. She likes to make friends, too; Sandry may like her alone time, but she much prefers having the option of socializing.
Much like a house cat, Sandry has an insatiable curiosity, and nothing can deter her when she's trying to satisfy it. She's also a bit scatterbrained, often forgetting the most basic facts when she's excited or curious. She also has a tendency to go 'feral' when certain things happen around her, or when she's feeling very powerful emotions.
Character History - Sandry was born and raised in a fairly large group of Tabaxi. This group is a mix of lion, leopard, and perhaps cheetah, and is overall referred to as a pride. Sandry's family is leopard with some leonine influences; most of her relatives are leopards, and some are lions. Sandry herself is mostly leopard with a hint of lion (and housecat, but she doesn't like to mention that). Her triplet brothers are more leonine than she is, and her youngest sibling is as close to pure leopard as she can get. Her family tends to hold itself slightly away from the rest of the group, which is typical of a leopard family. This slight isolation cost Sandry some potential companions, but she had plenty enough in her brothers.
Sandry lost her mother when her younger sister was born; her mother died in childbirth. At first, Sandry resented her sister for this, but once the worst pain passed, she found herself filling in as a mom. It curbed her mischievous nature and instilled a sense of responsibility in her. She worked hard to make sure her sibling had a female rolemodel to look up to. Once the youngest was in her teens, though, Sandry decided it was time to leave for a while.
At that same time, Sandry had to undergo her training to take her place in her pride. She was a talented child, and had a choice of two vocations: Shifting Warrior, fighters who learned to incorporate the Tabaxi's natural shifting ability into their fighting style; and Shaman, powerful magic users with special care for a specific shaman's elemental affinity. In order to use their magic, shamans must repress the animal instincts they have, essentially cutting off their shifting in order to use other, more powerful magics. Sandry had to choose one, closing the way to the other forever. There was no way to take both paths, and doing so would severely hamper any progress and cut potential to nothing.
Sandry, in her youth and hubris, took the shaman path. She had her brothers teach her the ways of the warrior in secret, and by doing so lost her place in either set. The conflict caused by her trying to learn both at once severely hampered her natural abilities and weakened her greatly. When her ploy was discovered, she was forbidden from learning more from either warriors or shamans. Sandry took what little she knew and left the pride, deciding to make her own name in the human lands.

Abilities
Enhanced Senses - Sight, scent, and hearing. The sight is a double edged sword. Sandry can see very well in low light, but has trouble distinguishing certain colors. Red is the worst, but Sandry has trouble with all colors, especially when there are shades of it. She also can't taste certain things, like fruit.
Enhanced Balance and Flexibility - As a Tabaxi of the Leopard family, Sandry was made to climb. She has impeccable balance, assisted by her long tail. Sandry is also somewhat flexible from having to get through some very small places.
Basic Magic - Sandry is not very capable magically, but she can cast a basic fireball, a minor healing spell, and some cantrips. She also has a hidden ability for sound based magic, but that very rarely shows itself.
Shapeshifting - Sandry can shift into a leopard. Her form is easily as large as a large horse, and she maintains her sanity while in form. There are some side effects from going back and forth, though.
Weaponry/Armor
A sword and bow - Usually enchanted, maybe not.
Shrouded Armor - Somewhat based on the Armor for those in the DB. This leather armor suit is enchanted to be lighter than regular armor, and resistant to wear and tear. It's dyed black and has many places to conceal spell scrolls, potions, and small knives. The boots are thickly padded to muffle footsteps.
Extra info - A bit about Tabaxi in general. They are cat people, and that can be any type of cat. Physical characteristics vary from cat to cat; for example, house cat Tabaxi are very short, come in a myriad of colors and patterns, and usually only have the ears and tail of a cat. A leopard, on the other hand, runs from 5 to 6 feet tall, is usually more bestial in appearance (cat feet, fur, etc), and only comes in leopard colors. Tabaxi hybrids are a common sight, giving even more variety to the race.
All Tabaxi can shift into their primary cat. Some can shift as easy as they breath, others are heavily affected by the process and cannot shift except in dire emergencies. Many of the more bestial Tabaxi assume an overlarge form of their cat, and some prides even practice taking riders.
The Tabaxi worship a racial deity. It is Hiath, or the Many-Tails. The Tabaxi believe he has a tail for every Tabaxi subrace, and that he watches over them. (lore is still up and coming)
Personal history - As you can probably tell, Sandry is based on my Oblivion character of the same name. She's my adventure character, and the one I'll use for most Fantasy types. She's come a long way since I first made her, and is currently involved in a very active 1x1. She's no longer paired with Zuye, but he may make some appearances in any work she's in.
