Suddenly I noticed that I was breathing heavier and a wave of not only jealousy but betrayal had hit me like a sledge hammer. Dianices's smile faded and Hikaruna stood up and lowered is head in saddness. N'taz on the other hand looked relieved, but as usual I didn't pay any attention to him. Proteus took a few steps toward me but I found myself backing away. "Your lying.... He wouldn't consent to that.. I KNOW HIM!!!" I yelled in leader's face. She tried to calm me down to the best of her ability. "He's being forced Raven, he's under her spell. Your right, he would never in this life time consent to that. He loves you.." Proteus hugged me and I held onto her tightly and tears of blood trickled down my cheeks. (Only happens when extremly hurt) Dianices came over and joined the huddle as well did Hikaruna. N'taz just looked away and snuffed at the air, crossing his arms.

"Don't worry, we'll get him back Raven!" Hikaruna said with dignity and Dianices agreed with him. Proteus released me and walked to the pool and peered into it, studying it carefully. Placeing her own hand into the water, We all found ourselves gasping and saying similtaniously: "LEADER!!" Too late..

She growled and cleanched her teeth, visions of her animal and her human body flowing together. Then seeing only her veins and organs.. exploding inside of her. The fluids slattered everywhere only to turn to acid and rott her flesh from the inside out. Crashing to the ground, her limp body turned to ashes.

I found myself not breathing, not blinking, nothing. Dianices dropped to her knees in dismay her mouth slightly open as if the breath escaped her lips in one swift go. Hikaruna and N'taz just sighed and walked over to us. Hikaruna's eyes watering and his eyes turned bloody. N'taz wouldn't even look at us. "It's what she wanted, She told us outside the cave that she would do it.. Because.. she said somethin' about a prophecy and how it must be fullfilled." Hikaruna explained, but I still didn't understand. What would murdering yourself accomplish? "I heard her talking to the Whitch Docter about it a while back.." N'taz began. We all remained in silence as he told us what he heard our deceased leader spoke of that day, "... She was telling him that she could help with bringing the fallen back to life if she sacrificed herself to the Pool of Life. I don't know but she sounded proud about it.. I guess she understood how much Ookami meant to you, Raven.." N'taz shuddered the distant memory.

"I still don't understand, So how'd she help?" Dianices exclaimed. "She also said somethin' to this effect.. 'Only my ashes can bring Ookami out of slumber'.." Hikaruna pondered what he just said and suddenly snapped his fingers. "I GET IT! If we go to the Black Mage's fortress and somehow find Ookami, then I guess Proteus's ashes can bring him back to life!"

Dianices leaped into the air, "YEAH!, C'mon! It'll be an adventure!" I grinned widely and held up my fist. "WE WON'T MAKE WASTE OF OUR LEADER'S SACRIFICE!!!" It felt so good to shout happy words again.. "What about you N'taz..?" Hikaruna asked. N'taz just stood there for a few seconds then nodded, as he walked over to Leaders ash and took a vile and scooped her remains into it then sealed the canister, placing it into his inside vest pocket.

His form took shape and huge bat wings extened, Long purple and black hair sprung out, Giant ears, and peircings came into view, claws and fangs fully out and pupils dialated. "s**t man!, I'm ready to kick some a**!!" He shouted and waited for us to take shape.

Dianices came next and she did a back flip into the air and came down hard, cracking the floor as a goregous white tiger, She lifted her head up and used her paws to scrape the grounds loose dust, Her crystal blue eyes darted to me.

I guess it was my turn, I cracked my neck all the way around, releasing the built up tension then stood perfectly straight and rose up my arms to my sides and glanced up toward the ceiling, then at the sound of my back cracking loudly. I came down to the floor swiftly and leaped into the air and tranformed into my black cat creature, coming down to the ground just hard if not harder than my sister. The spiked collars come into the veiw on all my four legs the end of my tail and around my neck.

Hikaruna outstretched his arms and waved them over his head then clapped his hands loudly together, when that happened he appeared as his beautiful panther. A loud roar rose up from his throat.

So as we all came together and raced out of the cave with bolts of engery bursting out of us, Almost like we could fly, speaking of which, I looked up at N'taz who was trying to dodge all the rocks that popped out from the ceiling. Flying so fast I almost couldn't keep track of him, Then once he got to a clearing, he looked down at me and smiled his usual flirtatious smile. I didn't care, I was going to get my Ookami back safely to my arms. We would find our lost comrade and kill that b***h dead! My sister glanced to me and smiled her big, happy smile. I laughed loudly and Hikaruna was keeping up with us surprisingly well. Dianices and I both took lead of the pack as we raced to the Black Mages castle!
