Another day, another difficulty in my life. Where i should have pain in my mouth, there is pain in my right eye; a corneal ulcer is what i am currently suffering from. According to the doc today, about 2/3 of my cornea is eaten away from a certain bacteria that is attracted to contact lenses. There's a small hole in the cornea of my eye along with a cloud of bacteria. Apparently, the doc said today that if we had come to him by next week instead of earlier, i would've gone blind in my right eye.
Just my luck, eh?
But eye drops are being applied to my right eye every half hour, and at first it was a different set of drops that burned like hell. But today, the difference is dramatic; it doesn't burn or feel like it's scratching as bad. My little brother is applying the drops now when my mom isn't home, and he's a friggin' pro at it, i gotta say. He smiles when he gets nervous, and he was smiling when he applied the drop. But man, can that kid do some wonders on a woman's eye ;3
The doc also mentioned that the discomfort should be gone by next monday, and i can already open up my right eye without too much trouble. I can keep my left eye open for longer periods of time without experiecing too much pain as well!
I'll put in more details when i get my next chance, but for now, wish me and my infected eye luck!
