Carbrey has been king since he was three, though of course only in title until he reached age 16.
He's 19 years old and legally king, but he doesn't like the sound of the word King. It makes him feel old. His kingdom takes place in the future, on Earth - all current countries have become new lands, and his domain stretches over what was once Spain, Portugal, France, Germany, Italy, the UK, Ireland, Poland, Austria, and Hungary. Beings from other planets happily live with Earthlings.
The Prince is selfish, arrogant, insensitive to the plights of his people (where the plights exist), and all around something a leader shouldn't be. (This is a man who really needs the see The Emperor's New Groove. ) Carbrey really means well but he never saw what a ruler should be, considering his father died so early in his life.
As a result of his behaviour, the prince is really lonely. He longs for a true friend and most definitely a lover. Although Carbrey is vain and narcissistic on the outside, he's actually very insecure and needy. He pushes people away before they can see his vulnerability and take advantage of it. His one friend, although Carbrey would never admit it, is his court jester Awry. Carbrey harbors a bit of a crush on Carbrey because the jester is the only one to really treat him with sincere kindness. Even when Awry teases Carbrey, he knows Awry is only kidding. Most of the time.
He loves clothes. He'll wear anything, from any previous Earth culture (or any alien one, for that matter) and from any time period. Siriuslee, draw him wearing whatever the hell you wanna put on him, I don't care. As long as he has his black ear buds in, which give him constant access to his advisors and head staff. The transmitter they're attached to is just a small box that's always tucked away in a coat or cumerbund or pocket or something. He only takes them out to go to bed and bathe.
His real hair looks like the colored bit in the ref - a slightly wavy red-head bob cut. The Prince wears a wig almost everyday to match the outfit/time period he's going for that day. He also mixes and matches. Carbrey extends his love of dressing up to Awry, controlling what the jester wears and having picked out all of his clothes.
If you would be willing to draw him - I'm not kidding here - go crazy with the outfit. I don't care what he wears.
The coloured bits in the first ref are just for an idea of his natural hair colour, eye colour, and skin tone.
