I respect peoples opinions, but I don't need unnesesary flames for mine. I don't plan on changing my mind anytime soon, and nothing anyone says will change that. Oh, yes. Don't forget my language... It doesn't make sense.
When I look at the political fights over abortion and gay/lesbian rights, I notice one thing. The negative voice tends to be strongly religious. Now, I can understand. The many forms of Christianity do not really support these sort of things. But I have a problem. More specifically the separation of church and state.
Just let things be approved already!
If you don't want it to happen, raise your children not to do it! Don't try to repress those who do not share your beliefs! Hello?! Are you trying to remind us of why we came to the Americas in the first place? It's like King George all over again! We fought wars for this s**t! Gods, we even fought against eachother!
It's an insult to the American Constitution!
It's like people no longer have faith in others. I'll use myself as an example:
I'm by no means a Christian in any right. I do not believe in God. That being said, if, by chance, abortion was approved throughout the US of A and I got pregnant (don't know how, I'm a slight Man-Hater) and I was told to choose to give birth or have an abortion (if I didn't want the baby, which we're assuming since there's no way in Hades I'd give it up, which would also never happen that way) I would choose to give birth.
But it's my choice. It's what I believe in. But taking away someone elses right to CHOOSE is horrid, cruel, tyranical and non-American.
And hey! If your son wants to screw the boy next door, you'll be hard pressed trying to stop him when he moves out.
Choices are what make us human. We learn from them, we live by them. Stop trying to take away our humanity. The rest of us aren't trying to change you.
