Lavi wrapped his arm around her waist. He jumped with her to the dock. Novella started to feel tears coming again. Lavi had a look of pity on his face. He lead her down the dark and damp hallway. She was scared by the Order and fought to get free. Lavi only pulled her closer to keep a better grip on her. Novella still had a glare on her face. Bookman was already ahead of them. Novella toke a look at the water. To deep for her to jump into. She could swim but the coldness of it would quickly stop her.
Lavi lead her to the lighted hallway. Lenalee stood at the doorway. She smiled as always. 'She's cheerful' Novella noted. "Lenalee could you take her to the sience team?" Asked Lavi. Novella was a little surprised at the change in how he was now. It was like he had a mask on. Novella said nothing but still had the glare on her face.
"Sure." Said Lenalee. Lavi let the girl go and Novella just stood there. Lenalee smiled kindly. "It's alright. The Order isn't all bad." Said Lenalee soothingly. "I was dragged here as well. But you'll be fine. I think you could use a bath and a bed." Said Lenalee walking to the girl. Lenalee had a spark of pain and understanding in her eyes.
"You look like you understand." Novella said at last.
Lenalee nodded. "I do. What's your name?" Lenalee said after a while.
"Novella." Said Novella.
Lenalee nodded. "While you in the showers I'll get you something to wear. After that you can talk to the Supervisor." Said Lenalee kindly.
Novella only nodded. She was glad this girl wasn't as mean or cold as the boy was. "Where are the showers?" Novella asked.
"I'll take you to them." Said Lenalee. She lead the way. Novella followed her.
They came to them. "I'll be back in a bit with some clothes." Said Lenalee. Novella nodded and went in. Clean and bright. She toke off what was left of her clothes and showered. She was in there for a while scrubbing away at the dirt and worrying about what was to happen next. Her skin had turned red from the heat of the water. She got out and found a clean towel.
A knock at the door. "Novella?" Said a voice. 'That girl.' Novella thought. She wrapped a towel around herself. "I'm covered." She said drying her hair out.
Lenalee came in. She carried a short black skirt and a red shirt. She handed them to Novella along with some underwear. "I'll wait outside." Said Lenalee kindly.
Novella only nodded as Lenalee left. She put the clothes on. She shoke out her hair and walked out. The glare was still on her face. Lenalee only smiled and lead the way to the supervisor's office. She knew he would make Novella feel a little better and less frightened.
