The girl
shy and silent
she sits
awaiting her turn
to speak

She says
"there is something within you that tells
me I can trust you"
She tells me of her pain
of her problems

I try extensively to help
the girl through her pain
to quel her problems
for I unerstand it all
I have been through it and more

I hope I am helping her
If I am not then
I wish I was and
I wish she would tell me
if I am not helping

She also says
"I do care about you"
I trust her
and belive her
when she says that

However I must confess
that I too care
about her in fact
I hope I can protect
her from
sorrow
anguish
desperation
and her enemies

She is my love's best friend
and she is one of my
best friends
I wonder what kind of friend
I am to her

At times she feels lonely
I can understand that but
she is never alone
she always has God
she always has my love
and she always has me

The girl must realize
that she is never alone
and that all of us
will always
be there for her
