Unexpected By Corey Watson
She was a girl, who had it all
anything she wanted, with just a call
fame, riches, it was the same
until she met a man, she thought was lame
he told her he was sent by a man dressed in black
he was told to find a girl who abused heroin and crack
she never touched drugs once in her life
never seen a gun, or thought about a knife
she looked at his eyes, they were black as coal
she froze on the spot, as he peered into her soul
he smiled and spoke in a low tone
"see you later friend, turn on your phone."
she looked at her belt and turned on her phone
she got a message, she heard her ring tone
she quickly looked around, she thought it was weird
but to her surprise, the man had disappeared
5 years had passed, she forgot about the event
she began to use drugs to her heart’s content
she lost to much weight, she would begin to cry
until she overdosed on crack causing her to die
she seen the man she had seen once before
holding a giant scythe, standing at her door
she asked how he was, and did he find that girl
he said yes standing in front of me, at the end of her world
she smiled and gently took his hand
he said "join me in death, and let’s leave this land"
she told him the world was cruel as you can see
she said "let’s go now, just you and me....."
