Bloody Rose
My Blood Drips...
R.I.P. Paw Paw

(Febuary 5, 1933-November 22, 200 cool

I miss mai paw paw(mai grandpa). He was one of mai role models. Once he died I learned more about him. I wish I could have spent more time with him. All I can really remember is spending weeks over the summers when I was little at his house. We would eat waffles, feed the left over syrup to the dogs, then go on our morning walks. Once we would finish that, we would cheer on the Redskins! It was always so much fun. This will be a tough year without him. I'm going to miss those calls on mai birthday, him singing Happy Birthday always made mai birthday special.

Mai Paw Paw of Mechanicsville VA, passed away Saturday, November 22, 2008. Born in Bandy, Virginia, he served his country honorably in the U.S. Army during the Korean War and was a devout member of the Baptist Church. He has survived by his loving wife for 53 years, with their six children, ten grandchildren, and one great-grandchild. He loved his wife, his family, his country, and the Redskins(football team)! We will miss you Paw Paw.

Life Lessons
You may have thought we didn't see,
Or that we hadn't heard,
Life lessons that you taught to us,
But we got every word.

Perhaps you thought we missed it all,
And that we'd grow apart,
But Dad, we picked up everything,
It's written in our hearts.

Without you, Dad, we wouldn't be
The adults we are today;
You built a strong foundation
No one can take away.

We've grown up with your values,
And we're very glad we did;
So here's to you, dear Daddy,
From your forever grateful kids.
