For some reason I had been walking in the middle of the road not responding to the messages my brain sent to my feet. Then I heard something behind me. I quickly turned around as a car came rushing towards me. Before I could get out of the way the car crashed into me sending me flying.
I must’ve been out for a while because when I woke up it was late afternoon the next morning. “She’s up! Oh Mandy! What happened?”Jason said holding my left hand. I looked around the room as I noticed everyone in my room. Except one person. “Mandy that’s Matt. He crashed into you last night.”Jason explained. I looked at him as he started to speak. “I’m sorry Mandy I guess I shouldn’t have gotten in the car last night. My friends told me not to drive and I shouldn’t have. But I did. I’m sorry.” I felt to the note pad on my lap and figured I couldn’t talk. I scribbled the small note down as I gave the pad to Jason. “She said that she forgives you.” Jason handed me my phone as I asked in the note.
I opened it my phone as I started to text someone.
Your lucky I am in the hospital Kevin. And I’m sorry. If I didn’t leave last night I wouldn’t be here.
“Mandy. I think you have a visitor that would like to see you alone.”Ruth said at the door. I looked up to see both her then Kevin. I shook my head to show I wanted to talk with him. “Mandy I talked to Jason this morning while you were resting and he thinks it is best if you two split up.” I shook my head back and forth then stopped at the pain. I tried speaking . “N-no.”I said almost mutely. “Well at least you can speak a bit. Mandy he knows I love you. A lot. Mandy I can’t explain the feeling I have when I am with you. Without you. I love you Mandy. Get that into your head. Please.” “No.” Kevin shifted his position till he was in front of me.
“Mandy please. Just listen. The day I met you I feel in love with you. But now with you in the hospital. It’s hard to see you like this. For everyone. Especially your family. Since what happened.” “Yeah. We all... miss him.”I said faintly. “Kevin I cant...”I started. “You can’t what Mandy?”he asked me.
“I dont think... I can...go on without.... you.”I smiled
