just watch me.
sensory overload
ah yes... I am content now. ^^ not only did I manage to haggle a Fun Dip thing from my brother, but I also have to tell you all about last night.

There was a boys b-ball last night. I was rather excited for several reasons: 1. get to see munchkin play his 'native' sport, and 2. I freaking got to play pep band with college kids!! ^w^

when I first got to the high school & in the band room, it was rather intimidating. The drumline was decked out in sweatsuits, and everyone else was wearing an SMSU gray pep band t-shirt. It was only Emily V, Gabi and I that had the guts to play with them. cool So we were all huddled together until we had to warm up & practice the national anthem, so I kind of instinctively latched onto this one girl. She was wearing dark purple eye shadow, had black fingernail polish on, had a camo jacket, and a whole bunch of plastic bracelet things on her wrists. Coincidentally she was first clari, and I was able to play fine with her music all night. I found out later that she and her clarinet buddies had made up dance moves to some of the songs, so I was rather confused when they started moving... redface

I ended up sitting on the end of a bleacher row, next to the trapset. I learned from listening that the girl I had latched onto was named "Sara", and the trapset dude's name was Jim. Also one of the bass drum player's names was Joel. Lol he was funny...

so anyways. Once we had all gotten situated, I got to watch the ending of the b-squad game, which he was playing in. After much observation, I have decided that he probably isn't their best player, but his height's gotta count for something. neutral xP The rest of the night he was fairly un-enthused... lol he had ice cream at one point.... xD

After that: showtime. Both the gym and the parking lot were full to the hilt- cars were parking halfway up the Wolverine Drive by the bus garage, and people were sitting in the rows of the bleachers on both sides. Only a quarter of the end bleacher section was roped off for SMSU, and the rest was solid KIDS. That stood the whole game, too... When our varsity came up, the crowd went wild. Such enthusiasm continued the whole game. The band played at every time-out, and surprisingly I could sight-read most of them. rolleyes haha the first one we played was Holiday, by Green Day. xDD that was fun. I actually was talking to the college kids, and I felt right at home, and it made me wish I was out of high school even sooner... but then again maybe not.

With 10 seconds left before halftime, the gym was on its feet; everyone screaming so loud that no one could hear their own shrieks over the din. When the buzzer finally went for half-time I was still pumped. We watched the danceline perform their final dance of the season, and after that, the SMSU drumline. I thought that the stuff they did was kind of heavy, but hey Sara told me that they were missing quite a few people. She laughed when I told her that our danceline's song was "Goodbye to You," and it was on a birth control commercial. xD ironically I heard it on the radio on the way into town before the game...

... and the rest is history. There were 2 technical fouls, both by the same player. He was kicked out of the game, and you could see that his coach was pissed. xDD he apparently is their best player, and I was talking to Emily V after school and she said that if you're kicked out of the game for technicals, then you can't play the next game, either, and that happens to be their conference game. xD

I could say a lot more on that subject, but as a general outline, I had a heck of a lot more fun last night than I've had for a long time, and I think I'll forever remember the crowd going bonkers and the feeling of elation whenever the band played.

... xP so that happiness basically got me through the day today. I am 78+% positive that munchkin likes Kylie. We shall see as the days go by... if he really does hook up with her I'll be happy. You can't find a better match than her- she's smart, is good at sports, and has a good personality. =]

... in other news my mom's getting pissed at me for being on the compy so I'd better go... have to clean the house and do homework and such... ttyl folksies. cool
