Today you seem so confused
No one to turn to wherever you go
Felt as though no one cares what you do
You lay down crying yourself to the bone
You wander around everywhere
Looking for someone to hold you tight
Wanting to feel loved and needed
Yet no one ever appears anywhere
As you lie down wanting to know who you are
Asking what you should do
Someone comes out to you
Hugging you closely and warm
He tells you to cheer up
That everything is a part of growing up
That there's no need to rush everything
And not to worry about anything
He says that you have friends everywhere
They care about you
And they love you very much so
So stand back up and start anew
As you hear these words you realize what is right
You get back up straight before the new night
And walk this straightforward path
Where you know your never alone because of your friends
