At first, he only heard muffled words of some sort. His concentration and perseverance went unwavered, until he actually processed what Yomiko had said into his oxygen-lacking brain. He quickly halted in his steps, and muttered a quick apology under his quickened breath. Now, the pain, that was originally ignored, was starting to seep through his mental barrier that he placed around his lungs. s**t... Unknowingly, he accidently retreated to his old habits as his glasses, which were perched on the top of his head, were slipped back in its proper place, and he softly hummed to himself an old tune. Within a few, his breath slowly relaxed to its normal rate.
Blinking a few times, he snapped back into his surroundings, and sheepishly grinned at his captain, "Eh, sorry about that. I kinda spaced out there."
