I just made Seimor yesterday. And I love her to bits. But, as with all avatars, I like to have some idea as to what kind of character or species she is.
But I have not the faintest idea what Seimor is. She's suppose to, by default, be a demi-angel. But that idea sounds too hokey. I'd rather create my own, unique species and traits for Seimor. But nothing is coming to mind.
First, I like the idea of her being made of animated sand. But then, she has that ice and water on her head, which doesn't seem to make sense.
Second, I think of her being made of some kind of living mist inside of a plastic body-suit. Dense, dense mist and clouds. Kind of like a ghost you can touch. But, I'm not a fan of ghosts or energy beings.
Third, I think of her being made of snow. Sandy snow, as though there were some world in which snow worked the way sand on Earth does. That kind of combines the first and second theory together. It seems to feel right, but it doesn't make enough sense to feel comfortable.
And fourth, maybe she's just a normal physical body. Some strange alien race or something. But why the ice and water on her head? It seems too simple and boring. Or maybe she's made of goo. Jellygirl. Sounds nice, but most goo girls have no consistency in their body. They change shape constantly and have no form. I don't like that. I want her body to be pretty solid. So I'll say it's her forehead gem that keeps her form together.
Next I try to imagine what her favorite habitat is. Does she live in the sky? Flying around in dense clouds of some gas planet? Does she walk on land? Or does she live underwater in some cold frozen seas?
I guess I would choose for her to live underwater, with the ability to walk on land. And have her be made of goo. How to explain the ice and water on her head? Just say it's the only form of waste product her body can create. She still needs to breathe through a watery-filter, so that will be the excuse behind the paste on her mouth at all times. So she can't speak.
