Mommy Dear
"They are real!"
Please believe me mommy, don't make Teddy shed another tear.
They're creeping closer and closer, causing paranoiac fear.
Seconds become minutes. minutes become one hour.
I must run, I must hide, for my soul they will torture and devour.
Myth says: - 'Upon thine eye emplace your trust, gazing upon them and fear they must.
When caught, Chimera will let you free, turning your mind to dust."
Elegant dances performed from wall to wall, keep protecting me, or the plan I had shall fall.
Trapped within this corner, my cold back against this wall.
Slowly lower to the floor, gathering courage, I need much more.
Twitched movements, in unison they work making me crawl.
Half way to my room, they scream to me their chanted agony.
Clawing at their sorrow, I call to my Teddy, for his bravery I must borrow.
Holding him tightly, I enter my room and close the door, a room thought to be safe.
A cold breath sends a chill down my spine.
I slowly turn. Noticing his eyes locked in a stare on mine, his hunger showing, his teeth shine.
Pride, color and hope, all lost to the floor, for face to face, Chimera, I swore.
Feeling my soul getting torn from my body, as the void of black darkness opens.
Heavily breathing, his smell of death seething.
Grunting moans and saliva exit his mouth, I run, creating for him, a thrilled hunt fun.
Hiding securely, looking for his meal he will learn. The search for me he will yearn.
Not moving, Teddy's not soothing for quick action could occur.
My heart rate's souring with sweat drops pouring. My tears, a visual blur.
Alone with a hunting Chimera, doubting nor merciful I am sure.
Cowering, I shed a lonely tear, disproving to him 'Humans unknown fear.'
Hugging my knees, praying to my Mommy Dear....
"Come get me Mommy. Remove me this dream, it's so unclear"
