there is a poem on my profile called the rose. it is one of my favorite poems. there is also a poem called flight that i did for language arts:
flight
the woods they call to me
into their dark green depths
oh the wonders to be free
up into the dark green trees
among the ferns with pollen spots
leaves waving in the wind
down to the floor where everything rots
and up into the sky a clear blue dot
the top of the world
is not so far
when you soar like a bird
go fast like a car
back down again to see the moss
green waterfalls everywhere
everything would be such a loss
if no one could take to the air
back down to reality i come
away from the land of the birds
oh so badly i want to run
again to lands unheard
