This is one thing that really bugs me about the Q&A.

The person asked a question, they got an answer and the thread was left. It's been a while (over an hour at least), with no activity. It's answered and dead. There's nothing that can be added.

Then a user decides to answer the question. Great. However it has been over an hour since the last post and the user repeats what was already posted.

What's the point? The thread was answered & dead. Adding new information, I understand that. Repeating what's already been posted, that's just annoying.


I get the fact that threads get several answers within a few minutes of each other, and that's fine. It's the people who bring a thread back after a couple of hours to repeat what's already posted.


Being a parrot doesn't make you a good Q&Aer. It makes you something else which I wont mention.

Also, if you're reviving a dead thread just to repeat something already posted, be warned. You can get whacked for spamming. Don't do it, learn the Q&A etiquette. (Which when I get bored I'll write my own in my journal xP)
