"Hey. Hey." Nikky was unsure if she should wake Jason, or just take him home. She sighed, smacked him, and yelled "HEY! Wake up." Jason sniffled.
"I was...having a nice dream, I guess." Jason rubbed his eyes.
"Well, we're here. You still wanna drink or should I just take you home?"
"Wha-? Oh. Right." He cleared his throat before continuing. "Um...yeah. Let's go." He got out. The rain drenched poured on him. Jason did a slight jog up to the door. Nikky followed. Safe Haven was the bar's name. Jason muttered a "What a dumb name." Before entering. Once at the bar, Jason tapped on the counter with his fingernails. Nikky sat beside him and rubbed her arms, muttering "S'cold"
"What you need?" The barkeep was a gruff mountain man person. A slightly long beard with wrinkles and a scar along his left brow.
"Uh...What do you recommend?"
"Water." He replied.
"Water?"
"Water." Jason just stared at him for a moment. He licked his lips and clicked his tongue.
"How about a water and a Guinness."
"Water and a Guinness." He began pouring the drinks. "What bout you miss?"
"Can I just have a water, or cranberry juice? I have to drive." The barkeep grunted. A glass was put in front of Jason.
"Here's the Guinness." He pulled out a gun and aimed it at Jason. "Here's the water."

Jason panted. He clasped the wound at his stomach. Breathing was hard, and every breath he managed to take in hurt. The bullet had entered the left side of his abdomen. He muttered a "********." Nikky looked around.
"Uh..." Her lip quivered. Apparently she hadn't been around dead people before.
"Take me to...Rick." Nikky began walking out. "Wait." She halted and turned around.
"Sorry." She quickly returned to help Jason to the car. His right arm over her shoulders, they went outside and to the car. Nikky started it, and they drove off. Jason called Rick. "Who were those guys?" Nikky asked.
"Dunno." Jason hushed her next comment. "Rick? Hey. Lis- No. No. Yeah. I got the money. I already entered it- Hey. Li- SHUT UP!" Jason breathed heavily. The yelling hurt him. "Listen. Some guys...they uh...I got injured. Yeah. Ok. Got it. No, don't worry about it. No really." Jason shook his head. Take us to the alleyway next to the usual drop off. There's gonna be a guy with a new car there."
"What's wrong with this one?"
"Someone might have seen it drive away. That, and my blood's in it." Nikky really liked this car.
"Sorry, I should have just taken you home. I didn't know you would have..."
"Don't worry about it. My fault. I'm gonna try to bandage this sucker up though." Jason began patching what his meager experience would allow him to do. Nikky thought that he looked badass, taking down those guys. It was all just a lucky break though. He shouldn't be alive right now. It'd make a good story for Rick though.
