Reigning Darkness

Ugly, hideous, and disturbing. That’s what this forest is. Dead, dead, dead. Reigning Darkness is a dead forest. Ugly trees everywhere. Not one looks alive, yet they all are. At the beginning of this forest where I know stand. White Cherry Blossom trees line the entrance. I grabbed the biggest blossom I could see and placed it in my golden hair. I walked in. Despite the deformities, this place is strangely pretty. I reached out to touch one of the trees. Rough but slick at the same time .The bark snagged on my dress. I ripped it away, making sure no to tear it. A dark shadow passed by. I whirled around my blond hair getting in my face. “Who’s there?” The wind blew flinging my hair with it and a soft touch on my face. I shrugged. Just the wind.
I continued my journey of exploration. These trees at this part are petrified. The sand stuck in there are gleaming like diamonds. They stand tall like the Redwood trees in California. Brown bushes lay at the base of each tree. I brushed my hand along the dead brown bushes. Feeling them crack under the pressure. “What a beautiful place.” The dark shadow came by







































Ending sentence

Despite the ugliness of this forest I will be coming back to explore and see a friend.
