The Skyrealms of Jorune:
Leave Your World Behind!

This is a series of science fiction role play books, written by Andrew Leker in the late 1980s & early 1990s. Its like a pen & paper RPG, however, they made a PC game in 1994. I'll give the basics on the books, cause its totally awesome. I'll add more later. You can comment on whatever & ask questions etc. Its a really kewl series, & maybe one day, if you can, you can buy it & play it for yourself!

See, it starts in the distant future. Earth is an alright place to live, but global warming & pollution kinda ruined lots of it, therefore, scientists are trying to find other planets that they can call home. They send robots to find a good home & they find a habitable planet with a strange energy force & 9 moons. The planet is filled with crystals that emit very powerful type of energy that is kinda like anti-gravity, it also made landmasses fly over the land, that were later called "Skyrealms". Once the robots come back to earth, we start sending colonies to the planet, then they notice that the planet already has many intelligent life forms on it. The very peaceful natives of the planet, or Shantha, greet the humans with open arms & are one of many types of beings on the planet. They are happy, because it was a long time since others visited their planet. They call the planet Jorune, & study a seemingly peaceful technology they like to call Isho. I'll get into Isho later, cause its really complicated, & has a lot to do with crystals & the 9 moons. The Shantha, however try to keep out of the humans' way, because of an accident that happened the last time someone came to their planet. The humans tried to create a new earth, however, the supply ships for some reason stopped coming to Jorune. It turns out that earth had a world war & either forgot about Jorune, or killed each other, they were never really clear about that part. The humans decided to start doing things on their own, with out the help of earth. They broke some treaties they had made with Shantha, & sacred grounds were ruined. The Shantha declared war & showed the humans the power of isho during times of war. They opened up warp portals in human cities using crystals & attacked with swords & what they call a Dysha, which is a ball of isho. Many humans died when they decided to launch a virus on the Shantha, making them go into shyee, or the isholess state, once you loose all your isho, you die. Both humans & Shantha populations start to dwindle into the thousands. & that was pretty much the end of the war. However, they are still mad at each other.

To be continued!!!

The Thriddle & humans are great friends, however, the humans (& everyone else, for that matter) think that they are annoying as hell. & the thriddle (& everyone else, for that matter) think the humans are ugly & dumb. The Thriddle are highly intelligent & love reading things, & telling others about important information, as annoying as that can be. They are hated by a creatures called the "Cleash", more on them later. They were the ones to teach the humans about Isho, & later taught it to special humans, called "Muadra" more on them later. They are good at using isho, but not the best, nor the bravest people who can use it. They spend most of their time in the Mountain Crown (Their capital) & read books & do experiments. They are not native to Jorune, they went there in 1525 Before the Earth Colonies (BC) as slaves to the Lamori, more on them later. Along with the Thriddle, the Lamoris' slaves included the Corastin, Croid, and the Ramian.

Thriddle are the smartest thing on Jorune, because of their massive brain capacity & their memory, however, there is another very intelligent species on Jorune, Shantha.

The Shantha are the natives of Jorune & were the first people (From what I know) to meet the Humans. They know all about Jorune & use Isho. They have countries & each country follows one religion, which determines what dyshas they learn. Each religion also warships one of Jorune's 7 moons. The Shantha have a way of living that is complicated, but at the same time, very worth it, & simple. They don't believe in "Playing it rough". They questioned why humans walk, and run, and stomp up stairs, because of its violence. They, however, never let their feet touch the ground (Even though it looks like it) & use elevators, instead of stairs, and to go places in long distances, they use warp portals with the crystals. They don't shake hands, or hug, or kiss, or do anything that means coming in contact with another living being. They never eat another animal, as it is disgusting and weird. They speak strangely, instead of saying "Who is there" like most other people, they say "A human has appeared, whom I'm not familiar with.". If you can tell, they have no eyes, but they see isho, flowing through the air, in all directions, like a fly. They see only isho, which is a disadvantage, because if there is no isho, they can't see. Like the sky, besides the 7 moons, they can't see anything else, but darkness. But there is a more violent side to the Shantha. They can get mad at many creatures, even for walking into one of their underground houses with out asking. When they say "I'm gonna kill you!" they say "Your isho shall be darkened forever on this day!" They make attack creatures called "Evids" made out of crystals, that can use isho, or bite you. Not only that, but during times of war, they are nearly unstoppable. They like to keep alone, in their underground dwellings, forever, and ever.

The next creature we shall talk about are the Cleash.

The Cleash live in the freezing icy land of Gilthaw, which is in the northern part of Jorune. However, they love raiding other people's lands, houses, closets, the people themselves & therefore attack people at random, shouting out gibberish that only they can understand. They are ill-suited for Gilthaw, for they are bug-like, & bugs hate cold weather. Some can use isho, but most don't. Either because they are too stupid, or they just don't want to, I'm not sure. They were brought to Jorune by the Lamorri, with a bunch of other slave races, however, the Lamorri liked the cleash more than the other races, & made them more like a pet, than a slave. The Cleash had it good with the Lamorri. However, the Lamorri left the Jorune, due to the Shantha & the Eelshon She-evid, or the legendary "Warp Walker", & the Shanthic isho cannon. The Lamori left their slaves in their hasty retreat, including the Cleash. They were sad, & wanted to live the good life with the Lamorri again. They plan many attacks on the Mountain Crown, the Thriddle capital, because, as it turns out, the Mountain Crown is like a crystal powered Lamorri satellite dish, that sends & receives messages to & from the Lamorri planet. If they can get their hands on the crystal & get it in the city, then they can call the Lamorri, so that they can come back & treat them as their pets again.
Due to the fact they don't like Gilthaw, they attack other places too, to gain land. They can control a race of Praying Mantis-like creatures, called "Scarmis" with some sort "Shiny" thing.... not sure what.... Anyway, with these Scarmis at their control, they can defeat many races, because the usually harmless Scarmis turn into blood-thirsty expandable monsters who kill anything for the Cleash.
The best attacks the Cleash have are a small bomb, & an acid spray. If the person is mid ranged, they would use a bomb, but if they are really close up, they will spray acids all over the person. However, they are really slow, & one can kill many Cleash easy with the help of guns, or isho. Many creatures can also out run them. Basically, if you know how to kill a Cleash, they are pretty harmless.
Trading with Cleash pretty much never happens. Not because they don't want to trade, they sometimes do. But because they pretty much have nothing anyone wants to have. Their "Currency" if you can call it that is fried Cleash eggs. Sometimes, they can be valued by other Jorune races (Although, I'm not sure who, or why would want that) But most people use this as proof that Cleash hate other living things & can care less who dies, even if its their young.
