Alright! I've compiled the synopsis for my webcomic XD Actually its on my blog, so I just took it ^^; but anyway! Here it is:
There's a planet that no one on Earth knows about, and it's right beside them! Seperated only by a dimension is that planet, which is exactly the same as Earth, but only what resides on the surface. The core of the planet is filled with a material called Living Metal, which provides the planet with high amounts of electrical energy and an edge over Earth in technology.
However, the people of that unnamed planet became greedy, and demanded more energy be harvested. Since the only way to collect more energy was to harvest it from the core itself, they dug deeper and deeper, until they hit the motherlode. And that's where everything went wrong.
When they uncovered the surface of the sphere-shaped core of the living metal, it cracked, and tiny shards zoomed out, embedding themselves in the humans around that vicinity. High amounts of electricity also burst from the core, leaving not a single survivor at the scene.
Scientists from all over the world came to the scene, blocking public eyes and covering up the evidence of what happened. There, they built a dome (carefully, of course) and studied the Living Metal. They realized that, while highly volatile, it can sync with a host to provide immense power and energy, granting them abilities no human could ever have. However, they also found out that it only synchronized with certain people with certain properties, not all. Thus their search for a host begun.
In their search all over the world, they found out living metal can give life to dead or inanimate objects as well, hence the name. In addition to that, many corpses they uncovered had large amounts of living metal in them, most of which where twisted in grotesque, zombie - like forms. Those were killed and the Living Metal harvested in an instant. However, 1 in 10 million of the corpses they uncovered were not only in perfect condition, but alive (although in hibernation).
They gathered the bodies and brought them to their 'lab', and studied the metal in their bodies. They added, enchanced, upgraded; until these could no longer be called human for they were arguably more machine than human. With functions only a machine could perform, and emotions only a human can possess, they were living machines that act of their own violation.
They were named...the Automata.
It's kind of long...but then again I was never good at summarizing. Its not as serious as it sounds; its supposed to be a humorous comic. Well to be more specific its a web-manga, but whatever. The guy up there in my profile is one of the characters XD I'll post a cast list soon anyway :3
Until next time then. o~
