The sky fell down like hail,
the stars they met the land,
Please tell me where you were my dear,
Instead of here holding my hand?
You left me alone in this nightmare,
So battered and confused,
You would have to be quite a fool,
To think this betrayal would be excused.
The terror you cannot imagine,
Such fear you will never comprehend,
How dare you stand here and look in these eyes,
Then your own cruelty attempt to defend?
Anger does not explain it,
And hate is hardly just,
I see now it was never love we shared,
But merely a silly game of lust.
You'll find yourself lost in a storm someday,
And I can only pray that when you do,
That although you abandoned me back then,
There will be someone for you to hold onto.
