It's been three years now, and things have been relatively quiet, until today.
My friends and I have been playing around in the human world. Our access to the Hybrid realm hasn't been used for a while.
However, we're now back in action. The issue, Demons have found their way into the human realm. Which can only mean the Hybrid realm is having trouble once again. I've learned quite a bit about the relativity of the two realms... and it turns out Hybrids find their way into the human realm all the time. But, as a youth, their powers are normally neglected, their powers looked down upon, and they don't find themselves with enough training to not only keep, but evolve their powers. On said course, by the time most of them are teens, their powers are gone, and their Hybrid abilities lie dormant or die away, rendering them completely human. Problem is, to train the powers when you're young, you have to fight, often. As I did. Now, I just wield my powers cautiously, and I can feel them so bottled up that sometimes I just want to destroy everything.
Of course, I can't truly say I'm the only one feeling this effect. The boys have been getting more and more troublesome to everyone, and the girls... just watching them for more than a minute makes them testy.
The school was attacked, Demons flooded it. And thanks to that, we were released from our cursed promise. We were allowed to use all of our power at will. Many humans had to be rescued, and most of the Demons were pitiful to fight. Some Demons were just "sick beyond all utter reason" as JP so aptly put... and just so happens, I had to be the one to find them. Not complaining a lot about it though... I mean, quite a few of those demons were strange and all, but they gave me good reason to wait on killing them... and they also gave me a good idea of what about half the females in the school look like under the garments.
Naughty and perverted... yes, but is it truly unexpected of a boy? After all, I am what I am. And I don't say much to the other guys about it, or even the girls... tell anyone, and they'll clobber me to death I bet. The reasons would differ, but the end result would be the same. Skold was with me, so he too got a good couple of views. We both vowed with ease not to tell anyone in our clique, and nobody in the school would have to worry about it being us that saw them, another good reason to thank God for a separate Hybrid form.
Anyway, as I expected, Skold went out with JP. They both love each other... and I'm once again a single person. Perfect in my opinion, because Winter's managed to be single, and I have to admit... I've become pretty interested. The others are in their relationships with each other, and I swear I'm in a love fest whenever I see them. They pass notes, give winks, makeout, almost look like the average high school couples. Both Winter and I look at each other, it's become daily now. We just talk, joke, be friends, while the rest of them are trapped within each other, which is almost every other day.
The battle was won by us, and we're preparing to leave to fix the problem in the Hybrid realm. Most we are asking our parents to allow us to do this, and they all comply. So we're bedridden for however long it takes us.
It's likely we'll be spending an extra week in the Hybrid realm learning all the stuff we missed. And I have to admit, my learning ability has become extraordinary, I've practically got all the classes passed already, I have the books completely read, worked, and vocabularized all the words I need to. I practically give them the homework they are going to assign the rest of the class the day before.
We've been passing stories around all day over our past adventure. The encounters, the lives we had before. Reminiscing over things. We've gotten packed. And tomorrow, we are off.
