Once in a small town...covered in nothing but dried grass and large factories...A romance was formed.One that was formed with the misery and the sorrow that the two lovers had.The distance between their homelands was great.Seeing each other again would be a burden...and so,they were forced to seperate.He said goodbye and with a tear streaming down his face;he vanished.The girl could do nothing but drown herself in the cold waters of depression.Feeling betrayed,she cried until she had no more tears.The girls name was,Chouko Hanaba.
[Scene 2:]
-Slowly the darkness seeps away everything suddenly becomes bright and gay.The sun returns to rise once again as the birds chirp and soar through the sky-
Chouko:I wonder...if he will come back....Hotaru..
-Chouko sits down once again in the same spot where they had first met-
Chouko:Why?Why do I feel so funny?
-She asks herself as she uses a Tigertail to tickle and play with her kitten while it pounces and bats at it-
-Soon her thoughts begin to wonder as she sits there with her kitten batting at the Tigertail-
[Chouko's thoughts:]
Why am I here waiting for a boy who I've just met?I mean really normally everyone would just ignore me or, I'd just mumble a reply when I am spoken--
-Suddenly her thoughts were interrupted by a small rustling coming towards the center of the grain field-
Chouko:W-who's there?!
-Then a figure came out of the tall wheats of grain.It was Hotaru!-
Hotaru:I promised.^.^
-Chouko broke out into a huge grin and felt as though she could hug him but that would be too embarrassing-
Chouko:Thanks.
-Hotaru took a seat next to her also grinning from ear to ear-
Hotaru:Hey...can I show you my secret place?
Chouko:Um...sure...
-She blushed wildly and almost jumped up from her sitting spot-
-Hotaru got up blushing then smiled and put out a hand-
Hotaru:Here..
-Chouko took his hand greatfully and he pulled her to her feet-
Chouko:Thanks
-And they walked for what seemed like hours when finally they came upon a beautiful grassy field with a little stream running through it-
Chouko:Stecky!("Pretty!"Japanese)
-Chouko ran down to the stream and sat in the "crouch" position-
Chouko:Look look!A tadpole!
-Hotaru walked down normally and sat in the "crouch" position too-
Hotaru:Mmhmm...yep!That's a tadpole alright!
-Hotaru was only a few inches from Chouko's face so when he turned to look at her his lips were close to hers-
-They both blush and quickly turn away from each other stumbling on their words-
Hotaru:I just um--
Chouko:I was uh--
-Then a tadpole jumped up out of the stream and, back into it- -They both were splashed with the cold water of the stream.They blurted into laughter and started splashing each other-
Hotaru:heh heh..
Chouko:Hehe..
-soon they were back at their meeting place-
Hotaru:It's getting late...
Chouko:Yeah,you better get going home before you get yourself into trouble...
Hotaru:Yeah...
-He hugged Chouko tightly but quickly then blushed madly and ran off....-
[Scene 2 end][Narrator/foreshadow:]

-Chouko hadn't slept a wink that night she blushed madly thinking of Hotaru-
-Hotaru hadn't slept a wink that night either.He also blushed madly thinking of Chouko-
-The fields now were covered with thickening black clouds as if placing a curse on the land.Chouko sat in the middle of the field singing "Rain rain go away" while she waited for Hotaru to appear from behind the large mass of thick wheat.When Hotaru appeared him and Chouko sat next to each other silent with only the whisper of the wind-
-Finally Hotaru said something-
Hotaru:Hey Chouko....Windy today huh?
Chouko: Hey Hotaru...yeah...What do we do if it rains?
Hotaru:We can take shelter in that old shed of there...
Chouko:Okay..Hey Hotaru?
Hotaru:Yeah?
Chouko:What would happen if I ever got really sick?Would you be there for me?
Hotaru:Of course!I'm always here for you!
-Even though neither of them mentioned it...They knew that they loved each other but they just didn't know how to say it-
Chouko:Thanks..
-Chouko smiled a bit and Hotaru grinned one of his toothy grins.It soon began to rain and they ran to the abandoned shed for shelter-
Chouko:Burrrr...that was cold!
Hotaru:Heh!It was no big deal.
Chouko:Show off!Your soaked!
Hotaru:Well look at you!Your practically water logged!
-They both burst into laughter;rolling and banging their fists on the floor-
Chouko:Hotaru...Do you pinky promise not to leave me...
Hotaru:yeah...
-And so they made a pinky promise....That was soon to be broken-
