I'm fairly new to Gaia, and in an attempt to familiarize myself and make friends I figured joining the Guilds will be a perfect way to do so.

I haven't made many requests, but I already got my first "declined to join a guild" and I'm heartbroken. crying The description for this guild made them seem so friendly? Worst part is that there is not one explanation as to why I've been denied. They probably have a good reason. But OUCH!! xp

But with all that being said, I have found a great guild called "Gathering of Adult Friends". EVERYONE there has been very nice and helpful! And I'm so thrilled to be part of a guild with people of my own age and interests. biggrin I just heart Gathering of Adult Friends!!

Today, 5/19/2008 I get a response to my message requesting for the nature of my decline. I suppose the owner of this Guild isn't too happy?

Basically she broke it down for me... "One read the front page you will see we are not taking anyone right now plus there are question you need to answer before anyone is accpected. Three we are on a freeze for another reason trying to clean up the guild and place in new rules for everybody to follow it will be another month before that is in place. Once everything is in order and running the noticed on the first page will be taken off and we will take member then"

Is it me, or was that her scolding me? *moking* "first of all... then... and lastly...." WOW REALLY?

In my defense, that front page didn't read what she claimed at the time I requested to join. It was a week and a half before I got a DECLINE. And I answered every question EXCEPT I did forget to mention my age in the application... OOPS MY MISTAKE!! I figure my profile clearly shows my DOB, so I can only conclude only that the owner of this Guild can't count. Also, In looking back now at the front page it clearly explains why they're not accepting... too late for me!! LOL... But seriously, with a winning personality like that, perhaps I don't need that Guild! How can anybody run back to that even after the "New Member Freeze"? I just got burned and scolded by them!?! HA HA! She's out of her mind!!

FYI: The Guild is "Adults Gaia Anonymous", Owner "Zercia"... so consider yourself warned!!
