All I was looking for was for someone to be true,
But thanks anyway for proving me it wasn’t really you.
All I wished was for it to last and have you forever by my side.
I tried to hide with those crooked smiles, the pain that was inside.
I took all the chances, the risks and the pain;
Hoping that somehow I’d have something to gain.
I’ve been so dumb to be taking all the animosity
Thinking that such fantasies would exist in reality.
Nothing could make anything worse right now,
But still I will hold on to my sanity somehow
You made me feel best in your own little ways,
Now, making me feel worst in these disgraceful days.
Were those words you said before really meant?
Or were they empty and just said for me not to resent.
Thinking of those days brings me back to bliss,
But all your actions have spoken that those were just amiss.
