Courtney woke up by the sound of her alarm. She pressed the “Snooze” button and sat up. She yawned and walked to her bathroom. Moonlight ran up to her, and purred at her leg. Courtney petted Moonlight behind the ears and closed the bathroom door. She took of her clothes and walked to the shower. Warm water splashed her face and hair. About 15-20 minutes later, she turned off the water and grabbed a towel. She walked out of her bathroom and walked to her closet.
She pulled a black jacket with a blue tank top. Then she pulled out a blue pants and a pair of black shoes. Then she put her hair in a high ponytail. She looked at herself in the mirror then looked around the room to find her book bag. She found it, grabbed it and went downstairs with Moonlight behind her. She went to the kitchen and was surprised to find her older brother, David, cooking eggs.
David's black hair was tied in a ponytail; his eyes were dark like hers. He was wearing a white shirt with black pants and black sneakers. He looked up and smiled at her. David was 19.
“Morning” he said.
“Morning David” Courtney looked around the living room.
“Mom left already?” she asked.
“Yup. Said she had a meeting today early in the morning”
“I see.”
Courtney's little sister, Rachel, came running down the stairs with her dog closely behind. Her brown hair was tied in a ponytail, her bangs falling over her hazel colored eyes. She was wearing a red shirt with a navy blue skirt and blue sneakers. Her book bag hanged over her shoulder. Luna was a 2-year-old border collie.
“Morning people” she said.
“Morning” said Courtney and David. Rachel sat down at the sofa and watched TV. Moonlight hissed at Luna as she passed by. Luna just stared at Moonlight and slowly walked by. Moonlight hissed again,ready to charge, but Courtney just flicked her on the nose, calming her down. Rachel was like Courtney but with a different animal. Hers was the red fox. She has a triangle shape at her neck. David is different from his sisters because he doesn’t have any type of animal inside of him like they do. Courtney and Rachel never told their brother or mother about this. Courtney drank some milk and was about to head out the door, with Rachel, when David stopped them.
"Hey, do you guys need a ride?" David asked. Courtney and Rachel looked at each other and shock their heads. They were outside of their house and started to walk, the sun warming their body.
"I think we should tell him,” Rachel said.
"No way, you don't want him to think we're weirdoes, do you?" Courtney said.
"That only happened to you, not me, and I don't care what he says. I'll sure it's nothing, I mean we are his sisters." Rachel said.
"What does that have to do with anything?" Courtney asked.
Rachel rolled her eyes, "Oh, never mind. There's my school. I have to go. Bye"
"Bye".
She turned the corner from Rachel's school to go to her school. Rachel goes to T.Y middle school, and Courtney goes to W.R. High. She was walking, when she had the feeling that she was being watched. She turned and saw a guy, no older than her, walking towards her. He was wearing all black and had sunglasses. She quickens her pace. The guy behind her did the same thing. She went a little faster, so did he. Then she started to run, so did the guy.
“Wait” he said, but she went faster. She could see the school grounds and was almost there when someone grabbed her arm.
