They Aren't Mine Anymore!:When a Small Band Goes Grand
Let's face it. When an artist you've listened to since they first started off in the industry gets on MTV and then EVERYONE starts listening to it, you start to love to hate it. "Eww they're posers." "Sellouts!" "They're going totally mainstream!", examples of phrases you know you've thought or even said. Yes I have said this in the past. But you have to remember. They aren't sellouts just because they're famous! These are people. They are just living their dream! So take for example, Boys Like Girls. Before "The Great Escape" came out, most kids haven't heard of them. Now you have a preppy abercrombie girl listening to it, and the outcast chick trying to find a new band right after she says "Boys Like Girls are the best band ever!" So I just wanted you to remember, "We all just want to be big rockstars..."
