If anyone watches the news or has AOL, you might have seen the thing that made the headlines. 14 SOLDIERS KILLED IN IRAQ
My dad is the doctor that had to announce the death of those 14. He is stationed between two places in Iraq, Haditha Dam and Camp Hit. He happened to be at the dam at the time that the bomb went off and so he had to take care of the 14 bodies. I'm not sure how he's doing really though. He was really upset the day that it happened because...well...taking care of body parts isn't the thing that most people want to have to do. Only one of the guys survived so I feel very bad for him as well. My dad says the chaplain looks awful because he's been doing last rights and giving therapy to other soldiers there who have lost friends and companions. It's really very sad. I guess my dad says he's doing better though. I'm still scared to think of what he'll be like when he comes home. I know he's still daddy...but he'll be different. And that's what scares me.
