Hawk's World of Wonder! No, I don't sell MODchips...
Wherein Hawk drove back the oppressors with a pointy stick.
Saxo-Band...HUR-GIR-GIRK! >_O
Well, yesterday officially complted the First Annual Stetson University Summer Saxophone Workshop and all I can say is, "Thank Gord!" Some of the kids were just abominable little monsters who bugged the hell out of me and the Saxo-Band Saturday comprised of roughly 25 saxophonists playing at once...Let's just leave it to your imagination to think about what a group of mostly Middle School kids playing saxophone sound like.

The week was fun in many respects, but things about the kids really bothere me. For instance, they were never really interested in the saxophone stuff which is sad considering their parents shelled out $350 each for them to come and learn from us. Plus, they kept falling asleep during the concerts we had all week long, which irritated the piss out of me when I'm sitting here listening to some amazing performances of both Jazz and Classical stuff and there's a kid in the front row laying down to nap. neutral

At least I got paid $100 for doing the camp. Of course, I'm not the one who's going to be seeing most of that money, but at least it'll go to good use. heart

I hate kids so much and, if I ever spawn another Chris, I'm going to make sure that little monster is brought up right.

I bought a microphone stand for my microphone this week, to make things easier on me when I record dialogue. It's annoying holding the microphone when trying to screw with audio editing software at the same time. I also ordered some saxophone CDs and saxophone music because dammit, I'm going to learn how to play the Concertino de Camera by Jaques Ibert if it kills me. The piece is just so amazing and playing that with a full orchestra would rock so hard. Here's to dreams...

In other news, I'm doing my best to shorten the time-table on my move to California. I'm trying to make it to where I'm out there before the end of the year, as a sort of late Christmas present to myself and Monica. Spending the new year with her would be wonderful.

The voice acting stuff is going well, and I actually need to record these lines for the next episode of Genesis Avalon and also for this clip of Tsubasa Chronicle where I'm going to voice Kurogane. That and I have to get ready because I'm going out to see Charlie and the Chocolate Factory today. I keep hearing good things about it, so it better not disappoint me like the Star Wars: Episode 1 did. That's going to make for one unhappy pappy...

I'm not digging the GAIA Journal thing so much anymore, so I may move this over to a LiveJournal account or something. Then I could get cool little backgrounds and image things. It seems like a good idea, but the process of doing it and not being lazy will be where the true task lies.

I'd start a LJ, but I suck at coding. x)

Even if the movie sucks, you still had an evening with me. So, just pretend it was great.. if it isn't. XB

Leave GAIA journals!? What'll [I do when you leave your journal to collect dust? Read the yarns of some desperate 13 year old wannabe? Guh! No thanks mang! stressed

-shiver- I ******** hate junior high kids. Well... Most of them. Some I can stand, but most have the personality of Furbee and are just as irritating. mad

Good luck with the plans on getting to Cali by new years. That would definitely be a good way to start the new year, ya?
