as thunder roars through the sky
every beat in a row
tears roll down as you cry

blood on the ground
and love torn to pieces
hatred found
and the children put on leashes

there is no love
in this town
there is no love
to be found

eager for your breath
longing your lips
waiting for your kiss
i fuss and fit

change these dreams into nightmares
long for solitude just to love you
every second away is a lesson that i care
i apologize if any of this poem sounds rude

clouds disperse shinning a ray of hope
a hope for the future i dream with you
a prayer to elope
