Technically, I am not an intern yet. I have just voiced the fact that I am interested in an internship. I'm not sure if that means I get to do it or not, but I'll find out sooner or later...
I'm not really sure how it qualifies as an internship though. Maybe "paid researcher" would be a more accurate term. Basically, I design a slide show on my experiences at Gaia, and talk about what I liked or did not like. Also, I can gather information from my friends about their experiences playing Gaia, and add that to my final product. (Facts and data are always handy! biggrin )
I guess I was expecting more of a conventional internship, one in which I would learn the tools of the trade and be shown around. After I had gained sufficient knowledge, I would begin to work the internship. Basically, that would be the same as actually having a job and working there, except I would still be learning, and the pay is less because of that. I'm not exactly dissapointed, just surprised.
I'm going to talk to an employee sometime, just to clear up all my questions and clarify some points. I look forward to whenever I start! I'll try to keep you posted on all the goings on.
