"Get back here you little whore!" a voice yelled as a woman run quickly out of the door. Tears filled her eyes as she crashed on to the ground in an ally, "I want to die." she whispered to herself as she curled into a ball, tears falling from her icy blue eyes.
Above a boy was sitting on his roof and heard her light crying. He pushed his black hair out of his face exposing his emerald green eyes, "Poor human, all alone in an ally crying, maybe I should help. He jumped down next to the girl crying "Are you alright, my dear?" he asked slowly walking toward her. "Where did this boy come from?" she thought looking to him "Well are you or not? I don't have all night." She sat up wiping off her face "yeah just fine I don't need help" He stood in front of her and looked at her "Don't you dare lie to me girl!" His eyes caught a look into hers and he saw her fear of him.
He stared deep into her eyes and smiles softly “w-why am I feeling this way?” she just stared into his eyes and began to tell her story to him “I-I… I was being attacked and I fled from him into this ally!” she screamed to him almost in tears “It was my boyfriend he tried to rape me!” He looked at her and helped her up “I will make sure he will never hurt you again.” He smiled and hugged her softly “I promise.”
She buried her face into his chest still crying as he jumped back onto his roof heading for the door, he stopped and glanced up to see the moon “A full moon tonight, and a red one at that, this could be bad.” He thought to himself walking through the door. Inside there was a couch and a kitchen, a hall that led down to the other two rooms. He softly set her down on the couch and headed for the kitchen. “Do you want anything to eat?” he asked going through the cabinets “Do you have some tomato soup?” He pulled down a can and smiled to her “Anything else?” she just stared at his fangs that were exposed. As he turned away from her she spoke up “Grilled cheese?” He just laughed “alright I will make our dinner right away.”
After a few minutes he set a bowl and plate in front of her. She just smiled faintly and ate quietly with him. “Cute smile” he said laughing. She quickly turned away from him and covered her mouth, “I am sorry to say anything that may have offended you” he said after a few moments of silence finishing his soup. “I-it’s nothing. I will be fine.” She just turned back to him and smiled again. She finished her meal in the creeping silence and yawned “Tired?” he asked standing up and holding out his hand. She just nodded and took his hand. They walked down the hall and he stopped in front of a door “Here is your room, inside you will find clothes and a bed” She just nodded and entered the room shutting the door quietly behind her. He walked down the hall and jumped onto the roof from the balcony.
He sat quietly on the roof thinking to himself “she reminds me a lot of her, who is she really?” a sigh escaped his lips as he reached for an ocarina that he had in his jacket pocket. He played a slow sad tune that filled the streets, few people ignored the song, and many got caught in its mesmerizing effects. Slowly he began to tear and he stopped playing to hear a voice behind him “That was a pretty song”
He jumped and faced her. “How long have you been there?” He asked after regaining his ground. “Long enough to see you crying” she said turning from him “I am sorry if I disturbed you.” She started down the stairs as he spoke “Wait, maybe you should talk with me miss …” he then remembered that they never exchanged names. “Angel” she said walking back to him. “Oh? Pretty name for a pretty girl I guess.” He then smiled “I am Marc.” Slipping the ocarina back in his pocket he began his story “I have lost my mother and the one I loved a few years back, I don’t really remember my father. I was young and my mother was playing the ocarina I just had, the song I was playing was her song. In the middle of her song I heard some yelling. Where is the boy?! Yelled a strong voice as my mother just cried, I don’t know, I looked out the room to see what was going on and I saw someone with a knife to her neck, blood dripping down his arm, a wide grin, when I find that boy he’s next.” tears began to fill his eyes “He killed her by slitting her through and stabbing her a few times!” He tried to regain his calm status as she spoke, “what about your first love?” he looked shocked then began another story “We were just sitting at our place as we often did, I heard a crash in the room next to ours so I went to see what happened, I saw nothing and headed back to my room and there I saw her, dripping blood from her chest crying. Run and save yourself!” He became unsettled and moved his hands to his head “I-I tried to save her….. I could do nothing as I felt something hit me and knock me out, when I came to, it was dark and I was outside in pain, I had just been bitten that night and I started my life as I have now.” He looked back to angel who looked close to tears by his story.
