Its that time of year where people make new years resolutions and either break it or make it. I am one of those who tend to break my new years resolutions, unfortunately. It is pretty upsetting and very disappointing. However, I know that with a little perseverance, commitment, motivation, and encouragement...I am certain that I can get through the whole year without failing. I really want to try my best at it this year because I am tired of going through the same routine. Anywho, my goal by the end of the year is to just to change, inwardly and outwardly...to change for the better, to become a better ME!!
I realize that life is short and that no matter how hard you try, you just cannot change the sands of time. Everyday is a new day for a fresh start, a new beginning to whatever you make it out to be. By the end of the day, what is done is done and all you can do is sit back and reminisce all that you have experienced in that one day. I know for certain that this is what is constantly going through my head. I question myself if what I've done for the day was something meaningful, something that I or someone else benefited from...or was it a waste? Life is short and you never know when your time is up. I guess what I am saying is that this is what has become my theme for my new years resolution...a resolution to experience this change within me by focusing on the small precious gift that has been given to me, my life. By focusing on how short it is and how life can vanish instantly. I should make to most of every opportunity because the days are not long and I should live each day without having to regret anything. I should be joyful and thankful in any situation I face, even when times seem tough and uncertain, because I know that things could get a lot worse. It may sound bizarre for me to say this, but I believe it is beneficial and could really help improve my current "persona", so to speak.
Aside from the things I have mentioned above, there are other things I have considered for my new years resolution, however, there are just to many to mention, especially here. So for now, I will end this entry and write again when some other ingenious thought begins to unfold.
HAPPY NEW YEAR!! Celebrate 2008 and live this year like never before!! 4laugh
