“So,watcha guys doin’ afterschool?” Bobo asked breezily.
“Nothing really” Kitsuneko and I said in unusion. We looked at each other with a “woooah” expression on our faces then laughed. Bobo just stood against the pole just looking at us. As usual he was dressed all in black with his black “granny” hat, and his hair in an emo way. Kitsuneko pulled the gray string on my cute doe jacket and played with it like a cat.
“What are you doing?” I questioned her.
“ Well, I am a kitty cat,” she smiled at me then said,” and you are my child right?”
“Yeah,” I said,” but I’m Bobo’s child too…What does that make me? Am I a kunkey? A mitty mat??”
Bobo and Kitsuneko just looked at me, looked at each other,then laughed.
“Whaaattttt???” I droned the sentence. They just stood there laughing. Forget them, I thought in my head. I walked around looking for Nokomeo, he is one of my best friends, and the person I now have a crush on, unfortunately. I just broke up with my boyfriend because of Nokomeo. I realized I was falling for him. But, I don’t think he has any feelings for me besides a sister/brother type of love. I mean I’m short, have wavy black hair with red streaks, I look sorta Mexican except thet im actually asian, and im emo. Nokomeo on the other hand is about average height, curly brownish hair, looks black with asian (cuz hes blazian), and he always has a smile on his face.
“ Watcha doin’?” Nokomeo asked me. I jumped getting out of my thoughts and looked at him.
“You scared me!” I said with a grim look on my face.
“ Sorry,” he said “ I didn’t meant too….”
I looked at him and saw his sad look. I felt guilt rush upon me. “ It’s okay…. I was looking for you. Where were you?” I questioned him.
“ I was just walin around looking for you,” Nokomeo replied, “ I just got out of gum detention with Ms. Kashay… She caught me at the last moment!”
“Again! Sheeesh, you really got to stop chewing gum in class and getting caught,” I told him. He just looked at me and laughed. I gave him a quizzical look.
“What’s so funny?” I asked him.
“Turn around.” He said. I turned around and saw Kitsuneko behind me. I gave her a dirty look and asked her,
“ What were you doing?”
She just looked at me and smiled, so I turned around. I started to tell Nokomeo about Bobo but, then he practically screamed!
“ What the….” I said” What’s wrong now?”
“T-t-t-turn around,” he stuttered crying. I turned around and saw Bobo pulling on a string that was around Kitsuneko’s neck. I practically grabbed Bobo by the neck choking him.
“Stop it!” I screamed.
“ You….stop….choking….me!” Bobo struggled to say between breathes. He took off the string and came out laughing. Nokomeo and Kitsuneko started to laugh like heck too.i gave them a puzzled look.
“ What the….” I said, the realized they meant it as a joke. “ What did you do that for?! Scaring me like that!”
“ Sorry Ketsueki,” Bobo told me, “ We just wanted a laugh.”
“Yea, sorry baby~chan,” Kitsuneko apologized. Nokomeo didn’t say anything but just stood there looking at me.
“ So, do you guys want to come with us to the movies?” Bobo asked.
“ Sure,” Kitsuneko replied, “ But I just have to tell my parents.”
“What about you, Ketsueki?” Bobo asked.
“ I have to ask my dad “ I replied. ”Hopefully he’ll say yes”
”Come over to my house, okay?” Kitsuneko said. I nodded my head and waved to Kitsuneko, Bobo, and Nokomeo then, walked off. Kitsuneko called out to me and asked me where I was going, I just kept my back to her and kept silent. I have a lot of things to think about first, I thought to myself , What am I going to do about Nokomeo??.... Gawsh I just can’t get him out of my head… I looked about my surroundings and saw the world being so bright. In my own little world it is soo dark and cold. Out here in the real world everything was so full of color. I mean the greenest of greens the reddest of reds.. It’s all so breath taking…
“ Hey,” a calm voice said.
“ Huh? Wha? Shippou?” I replied with a surprised look on my face.
“ What’s wrong? Surprised to hear from me?”
“ Well, yeah… I thought you hated my guts”
“ I do but I just hate it when you so sad and lonely”
“ Oh, shut up…..”
“ Fine push me away like you always do.” Shippou snapped. He frowned at me then walked away. I just looked at him still pretty shocked that he even talked to me. I walked around a bit then I heard the bell ring. RIIIIING RIIING RIIIING . I realized I was on the other side of the field so I ran to my classroom, ibarely made it in time.
“ Lucky,” Mrs. Thibeault said slyly.
“ Yeah I guess” I replied. I rushed over to my desk then realized I left my backpack at the “hangout”. I raised my hand and timidly asked,” Umm… Mrs. Thibeault? Can I get my backpack out at the bars? I forgot it there…”
“ You can but I will not let you out of this classroom.” Mrs. Thibeault replied. I again realized I didn’t say the correct question and that I was in language arts not math or science.
“ May I go out to the bars and get my backpack Mrs. Thibeault?” I asked more confident.
“ Yes you may “ Mrs. Thibeault said smiling. She opened the door for me and told me to hurry up. I ran put the door as fast as I could’ve and got my backpack and ran back inside.
“ Nice timing.” Said Mrs. Thibeault. I smiled then walked slowly to my desk. I zoned off during L.A. and the next thing I knew it was the end of the day.
“ And remember to finish your projects,” Mrs. Thibeault was telling the class, “ It’s due tomorrow.”
“Huh?” I whispered to Kitsuneko.
“Were you even paying any attention to the teacher?” Kitsuneko hissed.
“ Sorry I was in my own little depressing world” I replied.
“ Ugh..” Kitsuneko said, “ I’ll tell you when we get home.”
“Thanks,” was all I managed to say before I bumped into Shippou again.
“Hey, watch where you’re going girly” Shippou said with a smirk. I shrugged him off and ran off. Gawd he is really getting on my nerves, I thought , why won’t he leave me alone????? I ran to the front of the middle school and waited for my friends. A couple minutes later ( which seemed like hours) did Bobo, Kitsuneko ,Nokomeo, and “Uncle” Ulie came up to the front laughing…. Well except Nokomeo he seemd to be sorta furious.
“ What’s up?” I questioned.
“ Nothing,” the trio that was laughing chimed.
“ What’s up with you?” I asked Nokomeo. He just pushed me away mumbling ,” I don’t wanna deal with that emo f*****t girl……” All I could do was just look at him as he walked away. The laughing trio saw what happened and ran off to catch up with Nokomeo to apologize. They just left me there so I started walking slowly back to home. I started to cry and whine to myself about how much I hated my life and that I wished I was dead. Uncle Ulie came back to me and said,
“Sorry for leaving you… Nokomeo was just mad that me were teasing ‘bout you liking him…”
“ You wha???!?!?!?!” I exclaimed, “ Why did you say that for??? You know…… Ughhhhhh!!!!”
“ Oh, heh… Sorry?” he said. I started to walk faster then just ran home the whole way.
