Queen Latifah travels with the girls, Sheryl Crow adds to Choice

QUEEN LATIFAH, ERYKAH BADU and JILL SCOTT will kick off the Sugar Water Festival on July 8th in Virginia Beach. The traveling festival will wrap on August 10th in Los Angeles . . . SHERYL CROW is currently in the studio recording acoustic renditions of ARETHA FRANKLIN's "I Never Loved a Man (The Way I Loved You)," WILLIE NELSON's "Blue Eyes Crying in the Rain" and JAMES TAYLOR's "You Can Close Your Eyes" for an enhanced version of the Starbucks Sheryl Crow Artist's Choice CD, due in the fall . . . JOHN LENNON's stamp collection will be on display at the Smithsonian National Postal Museum in Washington, D.C., in October. The late Beatle's childhood stamp album is said to contain more than 550 stamps from around the world . . . The DANDY WARHOLS will release their fifth studio album, Odditorium or Warlords of Mars, on September 13th . . . G. LOVE will sing a new version of the 1971 song "Hilltop," formerly featured in Coca-Cola commercials, in the new commercial for Coca-Cola Zero, the soda company's new zero-calorie soft drink . . . RAUL MIDON will hit the road on July 7th in Toronto, finishing up on August 25th in New York . . . COHEED AND CAMBRIA will release Good Apollo I'm Burning Star IV: Volume 1 -- From Fear Through the Eyes of Madness on September 20th. The rockers will launch their U.S. tour on June 30th at Detroit's Taste Fest, finishing up on August 6th in New York . . . GALACTIC; MEDESKI, MARTIN AND WOOD; MICKEY HART; and MICHAEL FRANTI will perform at this year's Shakedown Campout and Music Festival in North Plains, Oregon, on August 26th and 27th . . . ROYKSOPP will release The Understanding on July 12th. The electronic pop band will kick off a short U.S. tour on July 13th in New York in support of the release . . .
