Chapter 1: Intro

It was a normal day in the town of Layfette. A few kids were huddled around a tv playing some video games at a near by arcade. It was a violent video game, but they didn't care, they knew that nothing would ever come of playing a violent video game, not even violent reactions. The person playing first player just achieved a high score and was about to enter his initials as "A.S.S." When a power outage surged through the city. The radio was the only thing working near them.

The Radio MC said, "Attention all listeners. The town is currently in a black out. We well have a reason why is a few seconds. In the mean while, check out this new hit by MC Hammer!"

"Wow, that's weird. We never have power outages," said one of the shorter kids near the arcade machine.

"Shut up! I was about to break the ALL TIME record and have the initials, "A.S.S" up there for like, ever, till this stupid blackout. Well let's go guys, there has to be a generator in Casa Alverez."

The same kid as before responded with. "You mean that Mexican restaurant down the street. Oh, I love that place, that have good food."

"Yea, I know they do, they also have a Mortal Kombat 2 arcade machine. Maybe there I can break the -" Then he was cut off by the radio.

"This is the news on the blackout. It appears some sort of asteroid hit the generators. There is a cleanup team on the spot, but since the power is out, they can't really see much. After all, who tries to work outside with no lights at 9:00? This has been your 'Talk on the Chalk.' Be sure to tune in later for more hardcore hammer-time songs. Next we have a few songs, then DJ Willis is up for a hour. Later."

"Dude, we should go to the town's generator instead of Casa Alverez," said the one playing second.

So they all left the arcade and went to the generator. No one was there and some power lines were laying on the ground sparking wildly. All 4 of the kids stood there. The tallest, the person playing the game at the time of the blackout, is called Joe. The person who was going to play second is Alex. The short one is called Comador Sanchez for no reason at all. His real name is Devin. And Joe's girlfriend is Carmen. They all stood in a line looking for anything cool. They didn't know it, but that rock that crashed there was a MTV satalite and it had been attacked by a NASA spacecraft. However, the bullets had gone straight through the satalite as a whole. No gun on a spaceship could EVER shoot through a satalite. That and it's impossible to get a gun mounted to a spaceship, and make it aero-dynamic enough to with stand ripping through the Troposphere. Let alone the O-zone layer and the Thermosphere.

The next day everyone and their grandma saw the story on the 8:00 news. Apparently, a prototype aircraft that needs no human operation took flight and left for space. There it thought it was encountering a enemy and shot it down, with military prototype laser weapons. Everyone except Joe, Alex, Devin, and Carmen believed it. They were too smart for that cover-up. They wanted to know what really happened, and they were going to figure it out.
