Return to the Teleportation HQ
yesterday I decided to join this other forum's (not on Gaia at all...mind you) Naval battle...to enter it all I need to do is PM a brief description of my ship and pick an elemental cannon...and send the info to the person in charge...
well...I couldn't decide between wind and lightning so I was looking around my comp files trying to find a random reason to pick one over the other...and I found my old entries about "Narase" that I wrote from an IFF in another forum- which sadly had to shut down gonk gonk I'm still bummed about it...
Narase was one of the greatest characters I ever thought up...and his story was actually very interesting
I'm gonna stick the first 2 entries of it here...if alot of people want to see the rest of what I managed to save before the forum went down...well...THEN I'll post more 3nodding
oh...and btw..if you don't know what an IFF is...it stands for Interactive Fan Fiction...basically it's similar to RP(Role-playing) except it's more structered and interaction betweeen characters are a key factor...
anyway..for those of you who've played the Genso Suikoden video game series...Narase's story might make more sense, but if you never have and you come upon something you don't understand, go ahead and ask and I'll try to explain
enjoy-
entry 1
A soft breeze blows gently along the soft blue-green grass. As it passes, waves of grass dance in harmony with the wind. Each individual blade follows it's own tune, has it's own way of moving. It is practically impossible to have every blade move exactly the same.
There are many a variety of blades of grass; small, long, thin, thick, the descriptions could go on. In a way the grass can be compared to the many humans that inhabit this world, all different kinds, all moving differently but with the same breeze.
I lie here and think about this new relationship I have discovered. It has been a long time since I have been able to lie here and relax like this. I look up at towards the sky and the leaves above my head. The leaves are the same, the same as the grass. It also follows the wind but each leaf has a mind of it's own. I look towards the north and see that the Dragon's Den is still quiet and asleep. Even that lazy guard who they've unluckily picked for last nights night shift has fallen into a deep sleep. I am very fascinated by the dragon's that live in this magnificent fortress. They can be brutal yet graceful at the same time. The dragon knights do not realize how lucky they are to be able to live alongside with these creatures. No one ever does realize how lucky they are for everything they've ever had or experienced until the realization has no meaning for them anymore.
I include myself with 'everyone' as well.
My name is Narase. That is all I can remember. I do not know where I was born or whom gave birth to me. I believe I am human but I have survived much longer than most humans do...much, much longer. I have lost much track of time, though I believe when I first walked this world I did not find any dragons and such...although I was young at the time and a child's memory is so fragile that it must be locked into the darkness of the subconscious mind. While traces of the memory do sometimes get missed being locked up, they fall victim to our imagination and are usually warped beyond it's original form.
Well...so here I am, one who has experienced many things yet still unable to unlock the sub-conciousness in the dark recesses of my mind.
entry 2
Name: Narase
Time: 10:00 am
Location: approaching "Neclord's Castle"
I felt like walking today...I guess I could've just teleported there using a Blinking Rune , but that just saves time. Time, for me, isn't worth saving.
As I walk along and watch the scenery around me. I marvel at how nature does not seem to change much. When disasters occur from small storms to wars between the world's inhabitants, "Mother Nature" still recovers the earth, eventually making almost all traces of what has happened disappear. Although "Mother Nature" seems to like working slowly; not ready to show it's finished project until much time has passed.
I am probably one of very few to have the honor of being able to witness "Mother Nature's" work in progress. Why, the same grass I walk over now was once not as green as this. It was once pretty bare, only a few strands of green here and there, "Mother Nature's" small attempts at recovering.
This particular area, in fact, was full of vampires at one point in time. Their leader (or should I say master; a more fitting word) was called Neclord. I don't know much about him nor did I ever make friends with neither him nor any of his kind. But I had sometimes watched the place from a distance. He would play his pipe organ every so often from deep within his castle. It was a beautiful sound the organ made, I sometimes went there just to listen to the tunes he played. Then one day a large army came from the east. I had fled from the area afterwards although I somewhat now regret not staying to see what that army had gone there to do.
Some years later I went back to the castle and it had become deserted. Well?there were a few very hungry vampires in the area but I had decided to take care of them, since hungry vampires are driven to the point of insanity. They become so pained by not being able to feed that they attack anything they can. Easing the pain caused by their hunger is the least I can do.
Anyway, after that I had never seen Neclord again. Most likely taken away by that army or he fled to a far away place, I might never know. In truth I do not care much of him but I miss the songs that he used to play on his organ. Those beautifully crafted tunes that came together in harmony.
So, I go to his castle every so often and just stand by his organ. Trying to remember the songs and imagining Neclord playing them. And, like I mentioned earlier, I had taken care the last remaining vampires in the area...so these days the castle is truly abandoned. In fact, these days I don't believe anyone knows there even is a castle out here except for those few lost souls who mostly fall victim to the wild creatures that roam around here.
Did I mention I like to fight? Well, I don't really like to fight, it's just one of the few thrills that I enjoy once in a while. Walking here or anywhere in Nature's playground let's me encounter into many creatures along the way. By now the creatures around here have mostly all learned to get out of my way but there are times that a few strong ones stray from the East looking for lost travelers. So, I answer to them.
Now that I think about, I seem too bored these days. After I visit Neclord's organ one last time I will take a trip East! I have never entered the region before but I have heard others talk about it. Then I shall leave today and go East in search of adventure. To the East, towards the great forest that I have seen from afar...
