That's all we can do,
Working on our holes,
Each one closer to completion,
Terrified,
Not knowing what will happen,
Nazi soldiers screaming to work faster,
Guns at hand,
We obey and dig harder,
Wondering what purpose this has,
Digging a hole in the middle of nowhere,
Soon we were told enough,
A break we thought,
Standing in front of our holes,
The Nazis behind us,
No one thought nothing of it,
Till we heard that sound that ended it all....
