50 Cent, Mariah, Jay-Z Tapped for Live Aid Sequel Concerts 50 Cent, Mariah Carey, Jay-Z and more will do their part to give something back to the world when they perform at the sequel to the 1985 Live Aid concerts, called Live 8, according to MTV News. The five free concerts will take place in five cities across the world including London's Hyde Park, the foot of the Eiffel Tower in Paris, Berlin's Brandenburg Gate, the Circus Maximus in Rome and the Museum of Art in Philadelphia, on July 2. The event will focus on poverty in the developing world and will take place at the same time as the meeting of the G8 in Scotland where the leaders of the world's wealthiest countries will be meeting to focus on how to alleviate Third World debt. Fans in London will be treated to performances by acts like Carey and U2, Philly's show will be hosted by Will Smith and feature performances by Jay-Z, 50, P. Diddy and more.
