“They don’t like it when you shoot them. I figured that out all on my own.”
“That’s classified.”
“I can kill you with my brain.”
“Everything is black and white to you, isn’t it? Well, my old friend, it’s a grey new world out there.”
“Do you ever get the feeling that you’re going to have a very long day?”
“I’d call you two moronic, brainless rocks but that would be an affront to rocks. So I’m just going to go with drooling sacks of meat.”
“John looked like a guy who had a lot to say but never said anything. He was balanced by the guy standing next to him, Jimmy, who apparently had nothing to say but refused to shut up.”
“Hey! Be quiet! Stop talking! Hey!” said Kit, nothing, “I said shut the hell up, sit down you damn idiots and pay freaking attention before I blow your s**t-worthy brains out the back of your ******** skulls!”
“Hi, I’m a dead woman.”
“Good-bye, Bunny.” “Oh, come on.” “Good-bye, Bunny.” “You don’t have to tell me twice.” “Yes, apparently it’s three times: good-bye, Bunny.”
“I’m going to kill you and beat you to death with your corpse.”
“I’m going to run over your head seventy-five times.”
“I don’t hate Kit, I’m not pressing charges.” ~ Millie Graham
“It is when we admit that we’re not heroic that we actually become heroes.”
“How’s the leg? Can you walk?” “It’s fine, it’s just a deep bleeding gash.”
“You know, other than your razor sharp teeth and claws that can cut through concrete, you don’t look all that tough.”
“You pulled some more of my magical stitches again.” “Sorry.” “And just after I ordered you to take it easy.” “I did take it easy, I only got in one fight today, and only kicked the two of them in the head once, that’s all.”
“The thing about Kit is, is that she likes her mysteries and her secrets. She keeps them wrapped around herself like a shell.” ~ Samuel Williams
“You know me, I’m always careful.”
“What the hell happened to my locker?” asked Kit. “I think Jimmy’s personality made you clean it,” said Leon. “Seriously?” “Seriously.” “Why?” asked Kit with disgust. “He’s a neat freak.” “Well that’s just not right.” She slammed the locker shut.
“I sent you help,” said Kita. “Are you honestly talking about that one nice nun among all of those crazy nuns that sent to me to that hell dimension for four months?”
“I’m not human, I’m not a demon. I’m something else that it’s not entirely right.”
“I need a drink, something with cyanide.”
“You should take it quiet for a few days.” “Okay.” “You’re not going to take it quiet are you?” “Define ‘quiet’.” “At home, reading, watching television.” “I might do some of that.”
“You look familiar.” “I didn’t intend to burn down that building. It was an accident.” “Oh, right that was in the newspapers.”
“Don’t tell anyone that I’m nice.” “They would never believe me.”
“I don’t go away forever, it just seem like it, is all.”
“Be less annoying.”
“You honestly believe that you are more stable than me?” asked Kit as she sat on the desk in front of him. “Why wouldn’t I be?” asked Mark. “You do realize that you’re hallucinating that you’re talking to your dead sister?” “Well-.” “That’s not very stable and I’m dead, which is about as stable as you can get.” “You might have a point.” “Actually it’s you who made the point seeing as how technically you are talking to yourself. I am just a hallucination.”
“Stop talking Rob.” “My name is Roy.” “Are you sure?” “It is my name.”
“Yes, let’s race towards the gun fire.”
“I don’t drink that much.” “You’re drunk right now, aren’t you?” “Little bit.”
“Kit, you have a real problem with lying.” “No, I don’t. I have no problem lying.” “That’s the problem.”
“In this world there are forces that escape logic.” “Then it’s a good thing I don’t use logic.”
“Who is -?” “Oh, that’s Kit. She’s, um, a little -.” “Insane?” “That’s the word.”
“We’ve faced some pretty bad guys before.” “Not ‘pretty’, overdressed.”
“I was bitten by a werewolf and a vampire and I am part gryphon.” “What does that make you?” “It makes me weird.”
“If you leave right now, there’s no turning back.” “I know.” “You’re heading down a dangerous path. You have no idea what will happen.” “I can see the future. I know exactly what lies in store for me.”
“There’s a doctor who wants to have a chat with you.” “Does he want to have a chat with me or is he employed by the city to evaluate the state of violent detainees?”
“Where’s Kit?” “She’s being held for psychiatric evaluation.” “Oh, not again.” “At least she isn’t in a straightjacket this time.”
“I’m scared.” “I’m hungry.”
She knocked and entered. “Are you sane?” “Uh,” said Kit and she shook her hand.
“I’m nervous.” “Why?” “I don’t know what will happen.” “I can tell you exactly what will happen.” “What?” “The demons will come and I will fight them.”
“You’re putting words in mouth.” “It must be getting full what with your foot being there too.”
“Cool, road trip. I call shot gun.” “I think I can arrange for one.”
“You are friends with your Dean? You actually made a friend.” “Actually he wants to expel me.” “That sounds more like you.”
“Some people would never place a tracking spell on their significant other. But I think that’s just because they don’t know how.”
“Don’t you ever use the front door?” “Not if I can help it.”
“I don’t get in that much trouble.” “We’ve been here five days and you’ve been in four bar fights, three duels, been chased down by the cops for god only knows what two times and had flaming arrows shot at you once.” “What can I say? I’m popular.”
“This is my life. I’m living in a warehouse, eating soup made by a dead man.”
“Who in the hell died and made you boss?” “I did! I died and now I’m in charge.”
“My motto is: It can always get worse.”
“Kit, you’re so much more pleasant to be around when you lack the ability to snap my neck in two without moving a muscle.” ~ Nathaniel
“You lied to me!” “Hello, I’m Kit Thompson, nice to meet you.”
“I’m not going to hurt you, much.”
“I’ve met crazy people more sane than you.” ~Tyler Mitchell
“Every day I see you training to fight. Who are you going to fight?” “I do not train to fight. I train to protect those that I love.”
“You dare mock me!” “You know, of course I dare.”
“Is it wise to antagonize him?” “It’s what I do.”
“I’ve spent my whole life sticking it to the man. I don’t know if I can be the man.”
“How can you make jokes at a time like this?” “It’s about all I can do at a time like this.”
“You’re giving me a working gun?” “I’m trusting you.” “That’s a mistake.” She shot him.
“Leon, would you come here for a moment?” “What?” “What would you say this is?” “It would appear to be a self-destruct.” “Yes it would, looks like we just lost a digit.” “Oh, boy,” said Sam. “How come all of you are so calm?” asked Jimmy. “This happens so often it’s hard to get scared anymore.”
“Do you remember the old days? When the demons attacked us on the orders of more powerful demons and we’d defend ourselves and they’d run. Then we’d find them and fight them and then stop them. Ah, those days were simple. Nowadays it seems more like we’re the demons.”
“If anyone can track this demon it will be Kit.” “And how is that freak supposed to do that?” “It helps to have good hearing,” called Kit from ahead and the man gawked at her.
“Well, that’s new.”
“Sometimes, Kit, I swear that it’s like you are from a completely different planet,” said Andrew, laughing slightly. “You know, it’s, um, well, it’s funny you should say that.” “Why?” “Because, you know, I am.” “You are what?” “From a different planet.” “Huh?” “It’s called Zegwar.” “Eh-ah-uh-um.” “Are you okay, Andy?” “You’re an alien?” “No, I'm human!” “Next you’ll be telling me that you’re some kind of alien princess!” “I’m not an alien!” “Well, you’re not a princess either.” “Well.” “What!?” “I’m kind of a princess, technically I’m the princess, you know of the world.”
“Ah, I sense trouble that means fun.”
“Good thinking, Kit.” “It happens.”
“The worst day of my life was the day when Kit told me I had tiny, cute little shoulders. I asked her what she meant and she told me to go home. I heard her crying as I walked away and she said something under her breath, ‘I’m sorry, but the training has to begin.’ And she kept to the phrase, the training began...I won’t tell you about it. Just know if she ever gives you a weird complement, whatever happens next isn’t her fault. The training has to be that way.” ~ Sarah Watson
“Being a magical is like living with an expiration date.”
“We’re done, cue the theme music.” “Theme music?” “In my head.”
“Technically I didn’t get expelled for killing Leon. The school never knew I was even connected to that. It was for burning down the school.” “You burned down the school?” “There were a lot of vampires. It didn’t seem like there was another option.”
“How many times have I told you - don’t get captured by the enemy?”
“Give me one good reason.” “Because.” “Is that the best you can do?” “Well, because.” “You know, why don’t you just hold your breath until you pass out? You haven’t done that in a while.” “I’ll quit.” “No, you won’t.”
“I’m not dead yet.” “The key word there is ‘yet’.”
“That’s surprising.” “It would probably be more surprising if this time your plan didn’t go horribly, horribly wrong.”
“No matter what you’ve been through in the past you’ve never experience what I am capable of.” “You ended that sentence with a preposition, you b*****d.”
“Is there a bright side?” “There’s a slightly less dark side.”
“You do realize that the first time that you greeted me, the Crowned Prince of the Gryphons, was with and I quote ‘Yo, dude, sup?’?” ~ Zenos
“It’s not the end of the world. I’ve seen the end of the world, it doesn’t happen because you can’t find you hair straightener.”
“The female threatened to kill me.” “One - I have a name. Two - I never threatened to kill you. I merely informed you that any movement on your part would result in serious bodily harm.”
“Here,” said Kit and she gave him the gun, “Safety off, point and shoot. Not at me.” He’d held it out towards her and she pushed it down.
“I don’t believe it, she’s alive.” ~ Jake Sullivan
“Kit Thompson, at your service.”
“Can nothing be simple with you?” ~ Jimmy Davis
“I don’t think my life meant much of anything.” “You achieved such great almost impossible things.” “But none of it really mattered, did it? In the Grand Design and all. And I made so many mistakes along the way.” “This is what you think? That your mistakes far outweigh your triumphs?” “Yes.” “It is not the sum of the outcomes of your deeds that add up to your life but rather the way you faced each obstacle with bravery, conviction and honor despite the pain and suffering that you endured because of it.” “But it didn’t make a difference. Did it? Every demon I killed another one just took its place. Every time I saved the world I turned around and it was in danger again.” “The people closest to you have been trying to tell you that you’ve made a difference. Not only to them but to the whole world.” “Not enough of one.” “The universe is so vast and we are so small. There is in fact only one thing that we can truly control.” “What’s that?” “Whether we are good or evil.”
“Life’s been boring lately.” “Well, that’s just because the forces of darkness are amassing into an evil psychotic arm whose sole purpose is to utterly destroy me,” said Kit and they gawked, “I probably should’ve said that.” “Probably.” “Well, when you’re popular.”
“You’ll be fine, I hope.” “KIT!” “Duke, come on. It’s me. Would I let you do this if it wasn’t safe?” “Yes.”
“I thought all of this would be under lock and key.” “Hey, she might know people in high places but I know people in low places who work for tips.”
