In the beginning
there was nothing
but the beginning
and the beginning didn’t know
it was a beginning
it thought it was a continuous thing.
The beginning was the beginning
but it thought that it had
been around before
so now the beginning
is not the beginning
but the start of something new.
The beginning of the beginning
wasn't sure that it was the beginning
so maybe the beginning
didn't really exist.
Maybe it had a name for itself,
Querida, perhaps,
or Amor. Or Eros.
It's possible.
The beginning was a beginning
within itself
and it has its own right
to be something other than
the beginning.
