Here's something, based off the greatest Role-Playing-Game in the world, Final Fantasy VII.

Walking across the bridge to the next mountain, I amazed at how much Mako energy was gathered in these mountains. I reached the other side, and entered a quite damp cave. It was an odd color inside, one of a greenish-orange. A Mako cave. I walked around a little bit before finding a path from which light shone in. An exit? Walking in, I saw the beautiful natural fountain of wisdon in the center of a round room. Nearing the fountain, I realized what it was.
"Materia. A miracle of nature," I whispered to myself.
"A miracle indeed," I heard a voice from the room. I unsheathed my sword, and turned to the man to my right.
"There is no need to fight," he said, calmly. "Vincent's the name." He seemed mysterious, yet very wise. He wore a tattered red cloak with black clothes underneath. Wrapped around, his cloak covered his mouth. He wore a red headband, just over his eyes. The oddest part about him was his left hand. It was... metal? It looked like a sort of claw.
I sheathed my sword. "Kai."

In Final Fantasy VII, Mako is a natural energy, an energy of the planet. When condensed, this energy forms Materia. Materia holds the knowledge of the Ancients, and allows the user to use magic, or summon monsters for aid in battle.
