I've heard through years nothing is brighter than the stars.

Then you appeared as if out of nowhere.

You walked as if gliding through air.

Illuminated with silk luscious hair.

I've heard only the Sun could heat the day.

Then you smiled and melted my heart as birds sang.

Then I saw you cry and it rain as if the earth felt your pain.

You showed kindred spirit towards every man without thanks.

They say nothing is brighter, I say they are wrong.

Because you are brighter and to me the brightest thing of all
