Chapter 2: New Beginnings

Sasuke woke up alike he normal did and greeted by the constant licking of his friend Strife the husky puppy, ‘Come on Strife get.’ Sasuke tried to get the pup to leave

Sakura stood by the door ‘Come Sasuke breakfast is ready’

‘I’m coming’ Sasuke climbs out of bed then the young pup followed Sasuke into the bathroom ‘out!’

Sakura smiled. Then moved on to the next room ‘Hey Naruto, come on. Breakfast time’ Sakura knocks on Naruto’s door

Naruto opens the door dressed and ready ‘I’m ready’

‘At least one of us is.’ Sakura comments

‘Um Sakura.’ Naruto brought his voice lower so that only him and her could hear ‘how long are we going to stay here, I mean, when are we going to tell Sasuke… don’t you think he’s starting to find out that he’s a ninja by now?’

‘He won’t if you don’t ask him’ Sakura pushes Naruto down the hallway a bit

‘Were in the same gym class and he out ranks everyone… ninja wise.’

Sakura became worried ‘that could pose a problem’

‘So what should I do if he starts asking?’ Naruto pulls Sakura away from Sasuke’s room a bit more

‘We’ll wait for Taiyu to come back from the bus shop’

Sasuke came out ‘What are you two whispering about?’ Sasuke questions

Sakura and Naruto stood up straight at the sound of Sasuke’s voice ‘nothing, its nothing Sasuke-kun’ Sakura answered first

‘Hey let chow down before it gets cold.’ Naruto runs down the stairs

Sasuke approaches Sakura ‘what is it really?’

‘Not right now Sasuke-kun, were gonna be late for school if we don’t hurry.’ Sakura also ran down the stairs to only meet up with three teachers from her past ‘Kakashi-sensei, Iruka-sensei, and Tsunade-sensei’

‘I see your doing well Sakura’ Tsunade spoke warmly

Kakashi looked up to see Sasuke starring at them ‘Good morning Sasuke,’

Sasuke bows ‘Good morning sir.’

‘Where’s Naruto?’

‘Eating’ Sakura looked in the direction of the kitchen ‘care to join us?’

Tsunade shook her head ‘actually were here for Sasuke.’

‘Me?’ Sasuke came down the stairs more

‘Yes, we need to talk to you, and Naruto.’ Tsunade spoke ‘Please Sakura, could we have a place to talk alone?’

‘You can sit in the living room, I’ll wait outside.’ Sakura opens the front door and walks out finding Taiyu sitting on steps already with her head bowed. ‘Taiyu what’s wrong?’

Taiyu didn’t move or answer Sakura

‘Taiyu?’ Sakura sits beside Taiyu putting her hand on her shoulder ‘Hey you can talk to me?’

Taiyu threw her arms around Sakura sobbing

Naruto stood up from the couch as Iruka held out the leaf headband towards him ‘Iruka’

‘What is that Naruto?’ Sasuke questions Naruto

‘It’s nothing to worry about Sasuke,’

Sasuke looked at the headband ‘It reminds me of something I saw last night.’ Sasuke reached out and grabs the headband from Iruka ‘something from my dreams, I was wearing this one by head.’

Naruto grabs the headband from Sasuke then throws it into the garbage ‘were happy like this, why’d you come here when you know Sasuke is happy here.’

‘Is Taiyu?’ Kakashi spoke ‘Aren’t you a bit home sick Naruto?’

Sasuke looked at Tsunade starring at him

‘Aren’t you a bit curious about yourself?’ Tsunade questions Sasuke ‘Don’t you want to know why you don’t have any parents and being living with these people.’

Sasuke thought about it then answered ‘I’m a bit curious why I can jump higher then anyone else, faster and stronger… and why Taiyu holds me like she does before I go sleep every night.’ Sasuke looked over to Naruto ‘And Sakura look at me with those sad eyes and you careful what you say around me.’

‘It’s because - - ‘Iruka began to speak but Naruto cuts off his sentence

‘Its because were ninja, we came here when you were in a coma, Taiyu brought you here so that she can change you from your violent self to the Sasuke she knew when you guys first met, Sakura looks at you that way because Sakura loves you, then I’m careful around you because I didn’t want to start a fight with you. We weren’t always friendly with each other.’ Naruto began to tear ‘Tsunade came here to take you back home and us. She wants to leave Taiyu behind because your talents are being wasted here. Our talents’ Naruto looked at Sasuke ‘don’t you understand why we didn’t tell you?’

Sasuke shook his head.

‘Because we love you, I love you.’ Naruto wipes the tears from his eyes ‘we didn’t want to see you get hurt’

‘What am I?’

Kakashi stood up ‘You are a missing Nin of the leaf village; you are a part of every shinobi’s bingo book.’

‘I kill people because I want to?’ Sasuke questions

Tsunade shook her head ‘Because you were told to.’

‘Then I don’t want to go back.’ Sasuke looked to Naruto ‘I want to stay here with Taiyu, I want to live here and not worry about my past’ Sasuke takes Naruto’s hand ‘I want to worry about the people in my life now.’

Naruto’s eyes swelled with tears, and then broken down crying kneeling down in front of the Uchiha boy ‘Sasuke… I…’

‘Impossible.’ Kakashi spoke

Both Sasuke and Naruto looked at Kakashi

‘You both will get dressed and were leaving now.’

Sakura gives Taiyu a hug then backs away, ‘Taiyu…’ Sakura bowed her head then runs off down the street

‘Here, have this Taiyu.’ Naruto took off the necklace of death and puts it around Taiyu’s neck ‘Remember okay?’

‘Of course’ Taiyu smiled.

Kakashi, Tsunade and Iruka watched closely when Sasuke approached Taiyu then suddenly Sasuke threw his arms around Taiyu’s waist and held her close to him ‘I love you.’

Taiyu blushed madly and looked into Sasuke’s eyes and starting tearing

‘Promise to marry me when you return home?’ Sasuke nuzzled his nose into Taiyu’s neck smelling the scent of her hair

Kakashi grabs Sasuke away from Taiyu and pulls him off

Taiyu watched Sasuke fight with Kakashi before collapsing to the sidewalk in tears while holding her hand to her mouth “Of course, Of course I’ll marry you!”

Years past by and everyone became different, Sasuke regained his memories with the help of Tsunade and Kakashi. Faintly Sasuke hardly remembers what he said to Taiyu before and became the other begin and left the village once again to find his brother and destroy him. Naruto became distant with everyone inside the village and completely blocked out everyone that knew him and kept deep into his training with the Densetsu no Sannin; Jiraiya. Sakura still trained under the medical arts of healing and worked in the hospital and attended in missions when needed to. Taiyu finally returned to village hidden in the leaves and met with Naruto in private, to find out that things weren’t so happy after all.
