Hawk's World of Wonder! No, I don't sell MODchips...
Wherein Hawk drove back the oppressors with a pointy stick.
I'm going to kill him...
So last night was the last SYmphonic Band concert of the year. We had to be there all day to listen to the High School bands that came to play for us as they came to listen to us that night. I actually skipped out on one of the bands as my latest recital performance was FINALLY in the Music Library, so I went and listened to it. It wasn't as terrible as I thought it would be and I was pretty pleased about that. I'll have it on my computer before the end of the day Monday so I can share it with some people.

Now, on to the angry part of the story...

So there's one of our guys in the studio named Jason who's a really great player. He's a technical monster and can play just about anything you put in front of him. Jason has one tremendous downfall though.

He's NEVER on time!

Friday night we had a Jazz Band gig over in Port Orange for the Lakeside Jazz Festival and we were supposed to leave by 4:45 PM. Well Marc was taking Jason and, in typical fashion, Jason didn't show up dressed and ready to go until about 10 after 5:00 PM. They barely made it to the gig by 5:45 PM and we had to be onsatge to perform at 6:00 PM. Marc as was pretty pissed about it and for good reason.

Well, guess who decided to pull the same s**t AGAIN at last night's Symphonic Band concert? You guess it...See, we were all supposed to be there before 7:00 PM on stage to take a picture of the band as a publicity thing and to go on a CD that we're making. 7:05 PM rolls around and Jason is nowhere to be found and he's not answering his phone. Dr. Adams becomes silently pissed and makes us get off of the stage and back into the bandroom. We sit there and he tells us to wait around and warm up while he attends to things. Just then, Jason finally shows up about 20 minutes late, disheveled looking and arrives to find the pissed eyes of not only Marc, Jeremy and myself, but Mr. Bishop was outside and scowled at him for it and they were going to have a "Talk" later. Dr. Adams didn't yell and scream like he should have at Jason and instead made a sombver speech about how he has obviously failed as a teacher if people are willing to show up late to something that they apparently care nothing about.

The concert came and went and it was mediocre, in my opinion. I'll have the recording of it soon so we'll see what it sounds like then. As for Jason, we're all going to talk to Mr. Bishop and Dr. Adams and tell them that Jason needs to be at least kicked out of band. We don't need to look bad because of his sorry a** if he's not going to work and we don't need him in the studio either.

Gord, I hate having things to vent about...I need some snuggle action and fast.

If it's one quality I find admiral, it's punctuality. And I can't STAND people like that and have much sympathy for you. If he can't commit to this band as much as you and the others then he doesn't need to be in it. Kick him out on his a**, the best lessons are learned the hard way. 3nodding

And I'm sure Tin needs as much snuggle action as you. I hear she's a bit under the weather lately. sad

I simply toss the notion of Earth time out the window. Then, no one is ever late.
