Xman - X맨
Haven't updated in a while. Well, finals are done, and the heat of summer shines upon us. A good time for BBQ !

Anyhow, I saw an article on yahoo a little while back that asks about what happened to America's 2 million television viewers. It's not hard to find out where they went, or why. The answer is simple-most of what's on American TV sucks. Anyone that likes watching the American version of MXC's Extreme Challenge (a.k.a. "Takeshi's Castle" wink should be shot. Anyone that actually believes that the english translations are accurate should be slapped, and shot.

1. Most of Digital cable's lineup of more than 100 channels is nothing more than 4 or more of the same network. Good examples: HBO, Showtime, Sports Channels, etc.

2. On top of that, the attention span of American viewers is short compared to the rest of the world. You can't blame us for that sometimes. Pokemon's highlights were the first season and the movie. Anything after that bored me.

3. Reality TV. Enough said. Look at how MTV turned out. There's more Reality TV series more than music shows. Yo' MTV Raps, Headbangers Ball, Dial MTV- all gone. Not even VH1 is a good alternative. "Sweet 16" ... on MTV. The way I see it. If you want to be spoiled at 16, don't expect anything else for your birthday until you're 30.

I even find myself becoming a picky person when it comes to TV shows. These days, I'm watching international show clips on YouTube. One show in general that I like is called "Xman". An interesting mix of celebrities that get together to have fun (even on Sunday). You can't have any good shows here in the U.S. on Sunday because it's a day of doing nothing, aside from church and dreading monday. Celebrities here in the U.S. would probably want a ton of money to even show up at any show. It didn't take long to realize that having fun is more than just ratings.

To show you an example, here's clips of Xman 61 with special guest Michelle Wie, the Korean golfer: (The good people at Soompi translated this for non-korean speaking fans)
